It stands to reason that God is holy. Evil by nature is self-destructive and the universe could not be sustained by an unholy God. God is also merciful, compassionate and gracious. The bible tells us repeatedly beginning in Exodus 34:6, “The LORD is a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness,” is one of the most often quoted scriptures in scripture. David quoted it, so did Nehemiah, Joel and Jonah. This verse is repeated six times in the Psalms. The LORD is holy, compassionate, gracious and merciful but the wonder of wonders is that He is love. He did not become love, He has always been love. In essence or nature, He is love.
Have you ever paid close attention of the fourth verse of JOY TO THE WORLD…He rules the world in truth and grace, and makes the nations prove; The glories of His righteousness and wonders of His love, and wonders of His love, and wonders, and wonders of His love. Isn’t it wonderful: the Creator of all things loves us! Seriously, can you wrap your little feeble finite brain around this truth: God loves you? We know God is love and we know that we should love others with the same unconditional love that He extends to us: so why don’t we? Selfishness, busyness, pride, envy or fear of being vulnerable–which is it? Everything boils down to two things: loving Jesus with all your heart and mind and loving your neighbor as much as you love yourself.
As long as He loves me so, let it snow, let it snow, let it snow. Old Frosty is having a hard time standing beneath the weight of the snow…so much for no accumulation. Our front yard is white. I didn’t order this weather but you have to admit, it is a beautiful sight and I’m happy tonight.
Our James Russel of Grace Point is still battling a fluid problem: continue to pray for James and Clyde Gillott and that the fluid problem will abate. Had a great visit with Ann Vest and her granddaughter yesterday. Ann is better and may be coming home soon.
I don’t see any sense in having school today: why not take a snow day Morgan County. We have too much school and not enough snow. I am an advocate for the kids! I would be depressed if someone told me I had to go back to school.
Doc Campbell sent me a book entitled CLINTON CASH. Since Bill left office in 2000, he and Hillary working together have reached a net worth of 80 plus million dollars. They made 240 million in the first 15 years after leaving the White House. Hillary said that they were 16 million in debt when Bill left office. Slick Willy sees himself as a “Global Humanitarian” and “Sage.” Hillary said, “The Clinton foundation is seeking to reduce human suffering {doesn’t include the unborn} and increase opportunity for those in need.” If they are concerned about those in need, why are they sitting on $80,000,000? He averages more than $500,000 for each speech. During Hillary’s days in the Senate and the State Department, Bill amassed unbelievable wealth from third world countries that are governed by despots. Of course he is going there to help them being great humanitarian that he claims to be. One such questionable relationship was with Uzbekistan’s dictator Islam Karimov, a brutal man who executed thousands of his political opponents. He also had a pretty daughter pictured with Slick Willy below. Got any ideas about Bill’s negotiation with the princess of Uzbekistan. I’m not sure it’s going to let me share the picture…google Bill Clinton and Gulnora Karimova.
