He Healed Them All

Scripture

A vast crowd brought to Him people who were lame, blind, crippled, those who couldn’t speak, and many others. They laid them before Jesus, and He healed them all.

No matter what happens for those who believe in Jesus, there is a future and a hope.

I am currently reading the gospel of Matthew in the New English Bible and have been enjoying the stories of Jesus and His miracles. After the Sermon on the Mount, it is one miracle after another. As I was reading, I had an encouraging thought: “Nothing intimidated Jesus.” I will not lie, I am intimidated by demon possession. I think one of the visible signs of demon possession is seen in the eyes, they can become coals of fire that burn right through you. I remember hearing Adrian Rogers tell about being on a platform in Africa. He was waiting to preach when suddenly, a man came to the stage to attack Dr. Rogers. He realized the man was possessed and he exorcised the demon before the man could get on the stage. I remember thinking, “Lord, please don’t let them happen to me.” Cancer intimidates me; even Covid was a bit intimidating. NOTHING intimidated Jesus; neither demons or diseases. Think about it for a moment: would we have a gospel if Jesus had been intimidated by the demonic world or by some dread disease?

Take the leper in Matthew 8 for example: Suddenly, a man with leprosy approached him and knelt before him. “Lord,” the man said, “if you are willing, you can heal me and make me clean.” What if Jesus had said, “Man, I am more than willing but I can’t help you. You have an incurable disease and there is nothing I can do about it.” Of course this is not what happened, verse three tells us what happened… Jesus reached out and touched him. “I am willing,” he said. “Be healed!” And instantly the leprosy disappeared. Wow! Instantly the leprosy disappeared. I am sure by now you are wondering, “where are you going with this?” I’m glad you ask. Jesus didn’t heal everyone on earth during His incarnation because He was limited by His human body and could be in only one place at a time. He did heal all those He came into contact with but He is coming again and He is going to heal all the brokenness. No wheel chairs in heaven fair, no hospital or funeral home’s there. Jesus is coming and instant healing will accompany Him.

Let me give you a visible picture to help your imagination. Remember in Narnia, the curse on Adam and his descendants was perpetual winter. Before anyone sees Aslan Himself, they see the thaw, the snow and ice melt and the flowers begin to bloom and the trees put on new leaves. It all happened when Aslan {Christ} breathed on the cursed world. The power and life in His breath transformed the deadness of winter into the life of spring. Man, it gives me goose bumps on my goose bumps.

Covid-19 continues its rampage. Big Mike is in the hospital at Cullman and others are recovering at home. It has hit both sides of the county. Our grandson in law Tyler has it and it has been hard on him. Usually young people breeze right through it but that is one of the things about the Corona Virus, it effects different people different ways.

As you may or may not know, the results of the election was a huge disappointment. I will give credit to the Holy Spirit and grace but I have come to have peace about it. No, I am not happy with the results. I am convinced that we were betrayed, not so much by democrats {we knew they were Judas} but by the Republicans in congress with Richard Shelby leading the pack. Actually, we were betrayed by governors, mayors, Lt. Governors, the media and all the parasites who live off tax payers. No one at the Federal level wanted Trump. He is too honest and he demands accountability and that don’t want to be held accountable. Lexi got on line for me yesterday and you can get TRUMP 2024 FLAGS. I still wear my Trump cap everywhere I go and I will keep wearing it. Did they cheat to win? As Luther would say, “You better believe it!” Are they going to get away with it? Yes, but the LORD does not judge days by the sun or months by the moon. He is the God of the eternal present. So the bottom line is: it appears that they get away with it but they will not. Every Judas in America will pay. No one can rebel against God without suffering the consequences.
