Parable Of The Minnow

Scripture

“My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.”

~2 Corinthians 12:9, NASB

Quote

Little faith will bring your souls to heaven, but great faith will bring heaven to your souls.

~Charles H. Spurgeon

Spurgeon tells the story of the worried little fish {minnow}. When someone asks the little fish why he was so downcast; his response went like this–“I’m afraid I will drink the river dry.” All the wise old fish got a chuckle; how ridiculous for this little fish to think that he could exhaust the water in this gigantic river. Father Thames {river} instructed the little fish to drink away, “My stream is sufficient for you.” As a human, are you afraid that you will exhaust the oxygen in the atmosphere by breathing too often or deeply? Stop worrying, the oxygen level in the atmosphere is sufficient.

So what grace are you worried about? The grace to share Christ with a friend? The grace to suffer patiently? The grace to allow your mother-in-law to move in with you? Or perhaps the grace to die with courage? A fish must have water to exist and we human must have oxygen but no fish or group of fish has ever produced one ounce of water and to my knowledge, no human has ever produced one liter of oxygen. The fish lives in water that it had no part in creating and we live in grace that we had no part in creating. God’s grace is present and it is sufficient: don’t worry about the supply of grace–concentrate on living.

Well it cooled down again which was to be expected. There will be more cold weather but I hope no more arctic blast.

Great article in the IMPRIMIS about big tech and Silicone Valley. Everyone needs to read it. These tech giants think they are running country. They do have influence but the election was stolen. Trump was elected so they are not as powerful as they think. Read the article. Every now and then go to google and type in…TRUMP greatest president ever! It tears them up or you can just type in election fraud.
