Tension

Scripture

Give thanks to the LORD with the lyre; Sing praises to Him with a harp of ten strings.

~Psalm 33:2, NASB

Quote

Not my will but Thy will be done is the melody our Heavenly Father desires to hear.

~Charles Cowman

Picture your soul as the harp. When a seasoned musician leans over the harp, he or she begins to strike the strings and the sound may be harsh. They continue striking the strings until they get the desired pitch. Our Heavenly Father is the master musician and he strikes us with problems, difficulties and disappointment until He hears us say, “Not my will but Thine be done.” He is tuning us to His will. Our lives will never produce beautiful Christ exalting music apart from tension. Sometimes the tuner hits the same string over and over again until the pitch is right. To achieve the right pitch, the tuner may tighten {put tension on} the string. Not all harps are the same size or of the same quality but if properly tuned, they all make music.

I thought you deserved a blog that had no mention of the nation and it’s woes. Anytime you go to google, type in the search box…Trump, greatest president in modern history. They keep up with that kind of stuff. Remind them that not everyone is a cool aid drinking dupe.

I think I told you yesterday that the NRA is moving to Texas. Basically, they have been harassed out of New York. You need to join the NRA today. They fight for 2nd amendment rights.

Have a great day and a good weekend.
