If I had to sum up C.S. Lewis book THE ABOLITION OF MAN, I could do it in three words: Liberals are idiots!  I want to go ahead and get that out of the way. I am not worried about offending anyone, liberals cannot understand my blogs; they lack the intellectual skills to do so. As Lewis says on page 59, “Liberals can be hostile but they cannot be critical. They do not understand what is being discussed.” I am taking an online course from Hillsdale College called an Introduction to C.S. Lewis Writings. My first lecture was on his tiny book THE ABOLITION OF MAN. I had started reading this book a couple of times and didn’t finish: this time I read it through. It is a difficult read for me. I am more intelligent than liberals but that is not saying much. Tao is Chinese and refers to the WAY or PATH. Jesus is the Tao, the way and the path. The Abolition of Man is a satire on modern education and their assault on traditional values and on truth itself. This book was published in 1943; before I was born. Facts confuse liberals; they do not deal with facts; they major on the subjective. To put Lewis argument into layman’s terms, there is good and evil in the universe and there is right and wrong. God put a conscience within us that is able to discern good from evil. Treachery, murder and cowardice are frowned upon in every culture. It is universal: there is something in man that tells him that stealing, lying and murder are wrong. We are not animals who act on instinct; we are rational human being accountable to God. This means there is a right and a wrong and we have to choose between them. Even George Jones understood this in his hit song “Choices.” Solomon said, “There is a way {Tao} that seems right to a man but the end thereof is destruction.”  Lewis said, “We castrate the gelding and then expect them to be fruitful. Traditional education was propagation {fruit}–modern education is propaganda.”

Modern education is an all out assault on traditional education and values it taught. Social Studies {liberal ideology} has replaced history. Real science has been sacrificed so they can teach evolution which is no science at all. Nothing about evolution is scientifically observable. There is not one shred of evidence to support the theory of evolution yet it is being taught in every public school in America. The whole purpose of teaching evolution is to convince our children that they are merely higher animals not much different from the deer or the wolf. We pursue our needs and desires instinctively without rational thought or listening to our conscience. This is the point I have been harping on forever: we do have a conscience and this makes us different from the animals. Meanwhile we neglect to teach the fascinating new evidence concerning the DNA molecule. Evolution is not observable science and the DNA molecule is, so what’s going on. The DNA molecule is so complex and so orderly that it is a testimony to an infinite Creator. What about all this talk of being open minded and assessable to new evidence? It is just talk. The fathers of modern education have hard hearts and soft heads. They don’t want facts; they can’t handle them. Folks there is good and evil, right and wrong, male and female, honor and dishonor and all are universal realities. Reality defined is–the world or the state of things as they actually exist, as opposed to an idealistic or notional idea of them. In other words: truth exist and there is not one thing any human can do to change this. If the liberals and the social engineers could succeed in creating this jungle of ravenous beast, it would destroy the very masters who created it.
