How awe-inspiring are your deeds, O God! How great Your power! No wonder Your enemies surrender! All the earth shall worship You and sing of Your glories.
~Psalm 66:3-4, TLB
Atheism is a temporary condition: someday every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is LORD.
I don’t watch news. I did not watch before the Corona Virus and I’m not going to start now. First of all, it is a waste of precious time. I have no confidence in the media. I know how they edit things and I know their agenda. You are not going to get the truth from the lame stream media; you will get their slant on current events but you are not going to get facts. I do listen to Rick and Bubba while I eat breakfast and again yesterday they were talking about the protests and the anarchy. I have to admit, I am baffled by the weakness of Mayors and Governors. Given the fact that they despise our president, it makes no sense to allow paid thugs to wreck your city. Psalm two is in play, the world is in rebellion against Christ, God’s Anointed.
Well I have some news today but not from the TV or from any current event: my news comes from scripture–one day, someday in the future, every knee will bow to Christ. The entire world is going to worship Him by prostrating themselves before Him. If I understand correctly, many will be destined to hell afterwards but they will bow the knee before they are finally judged. The world wide worship of Christ is taught throughout the word of God. In the very next Psalm states clearly: Everyone throughout the earth will praise the LORD and people from the remotest lands will worship Him. Zephaniah said, Everyone shall worship Him, each in his own land throughout the world. The LORD said through Isaiah the prophet, I have sworn by myself, and I will never go back on my word, for it is true—that every knee in all the world shall bow to Me, and every tongue shall swear allegiance to my name. Paul quotes this verse twice–In Romans and Philippians. It is going to happen because God made a promise to Himself and He will never be unfaithful to Himself. Trust me, He has the power to make it happen. I heard Adrian Rogers say, “People asks me, ‘What is this world coming to?’ And I tell them– ‘Jesus!'” I am not saying everyone is going to be saved, that is universalism, I am saying every knee will bow to Christ.
Wouldn’t it be great if the world was praising Jesus instead of clamoring about rights and injustice. The truth is; those behind the bricks know nothing of about oppression and injustice. They need to move to China or North Korea for a year or so: then I might give them some sympathy.
Are you enjoying this cool spell as much as I am? God is good, amen! I hope you have a great day and weekend. Remember to pray for your pastor as he prepares tomorrow’s message and pray for your president. It wouldn’t hurt to pray for REVIVAL in America.
