A Spend The Night

Scripture

For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever!

~2 Corinthians 4:17, NLT

Quote

It is comforting to know, sorrow tarries for a night but it leaves in the morning. {Psalms 30:5}

~Dwight L. Moody {Songs In The Night}

I love Psalm 30:5, “Weeping may last for the night, But a shout of joy comes in the morning.” In reading Streams in the Desert the other day, Psalm 30:5 hit me in a different way. When you travel, you spent the night in a motel, then you pack up, get in your car and hit the road. Most likely you will never see that same motel again. Sometimes SORROW is like a traveler, it shows up and camps on our door step but the good news is that the light of a new day will dispel the sorrow. Sorrow will hit the road when it sees the glorious light of the Son.

Many a soul has asks the question: why is life so difficult? Why is life a series of storms? Why do we have sorrows? I don’t know all the reasons but according to Paul, there is compensation for every trail suffered and every sorrow we bear in Jesus name. Think of it as a savings account or a collection agency. Every sorrow goes it to our account and there will be compensation for every single one. Sometimes JOY is birthed out of pain and sorrow. Fanny Crosby was blinded at the age of four or five by an incompetent doctor. She was blinded by the very medicine he put in her eyes. She never held a grudge toward the doctor. She actually praised God for her blindness. I have to tell you, this is beyond my comprehension–I do not understand how she could be so content to be blind. I know one thing, she was a great lady who wrote a lot of good hymns. It is comforting to know that sorrow is not a permeant guest; oh, he may spend the night but he is leaving in the morning. An evening thunder storm is very brief when you compare it to a Southern heat wave which can last for days.

There is a glimmer of hope for my friend Phillip Carrol; they are going to give him dialysis before they wake him so they didn’t wake him yesterday. Phillip’s dad Rudolph is Tracey Callahan’s great uncle. He was a brother to her granddad Lawson. You want to get complicated: Rudolph married his step-sister but there is a catch. They married before their parents married. Bill Southern had to go to hospital last night with covid. He is at Cullman Regional Medical Center. Carol is doing good. Joyce is also better. Pray for Bill. Bill is our treasurer but more importantly, he is our friend.

I had hoped God would expose the corruption in Washington DC but it looks like the government within the government is going to get its way and usurp the will of the people. There is no way Biden got the votes. I think they cheated from the get go but we know for sure that they cheated in all four of the swing states. What happened to John Roberts and Fox News? How did they get sucked into this giant conspiracy? Fox news gave Biden the win in Arizona with 14% of the votes cast. No one can make that kind of prediction that early unless they have inside information. John Roberts is mixed up with the Hollywood group that uses the drug that is made from the adrenaline of tortured children; plus his wife is a TRUMP HATER like Beth No Moore or Beth Never More; or never mind her anymore. They may have blackmailed him. Either way, he is a pitiful failure and a disgrace to the bench. FOX news is owned by the Murdoch family. I dare you to do a little research. I was not shocked by what I found. Go two generations back to Austria. The grand parents were Ashkenazi Jews. If you enjoy doing research; note the last four letters of Ashkenazi. See if you can find out if that is were you get the term Nazi…it is a hot topic. Ashkenazi is Yiddish for Germany, I think. You might want to check that out. Just so you know, there are two major branches of Jews, the Ashkenazi {Basically Western Europe} and the Sephardi. It is a fascinating subject, almost like prophecy. It takes so much time to research this stuff, I would be interested in you sharing whatever you find.
