Drugs

Scripture

Don’t gaze at the wine, seeing how red it is, how it sparkles in the cup, how smoothly it goes down. For in the end it bites like a poisonous snake; it stings like a viper.

~Proverbs 23:31-32, NLT

Quote

If I had a dog that bite one out of every six grand children we have: I would get rid of the dog.

~Adrian Rogers

Addiction to alcohol begins with one drink. Whereas it is true that some can handle alcohol in moderation, there are millions who cannot. I was born in 1949 and for my entire life time, Alcohol has been the number one drug problem. How often do you hear this on the evening news. The libs are up in the air about the virus, but why do they never mention alcohol. One out of three traffic fatalities are caused by alcohol and when it comes to boating, it is more like nine out of ten. Alcohol related deaths are right at 90,000 annually. There is no way to get accurate numbers on the Corona Virus death toll. You can die with it but not from it. Many have had the virus and didn’t know it. If you survived the virus, you will still test positive. They are counting every one who test positive. The libs are playing with numbers to get the results they want. Preachers do this on their resume’s. Anyone with an ounce of brains can skew the numbers. Alcohol will kill more than the virus but you will never hear that on the nightly news.

One other thing; maybe two: alcohol is a drug, a depressant. Look it up, it is a fact! If you use alcohol, you use drugs. So don’t be looking down on pill poppers: drugs are drugs. The big argument I hear is, “I drink socially in moderation. It doesn’t hurt anyone.” Are you sure about that? You may not have the alcoholic tendency but what about your children? Will this viper bite them? A young man had just graduated high school and he wanted to celebrate by getting drunk. He did and had a fatal car accident later that night. His parents just happened to be on the same highway and they came upon the accident. The dad was horrified at the death of his son but angry at the person who sold his son the alcohol. They found the empty bottles in the car. It was early the next morning before he and his broken hearted wife got home. He told her, “I need a drink.” He went to his liquor cabinet, opened the door and saw the note: “Dad, I didn’t think you would care if I borrowed some of your liquor.” You say, “that is just a story some preacher made up,” no it is true. I am an eye witness. Come see me and I will tell you all about it. The viper may not bite you but what if it bites your children?

I’ve been saying it for years, hyper-Calvinism corrupts the gospel or guts it. This new brand of Calvinism is liberal. It is a whole new ball of wax. Socially, these folks are liberal and they tailor scripture to fit their social agenda. They should be praying for President Trump. Evidently Mohler is disingenuous. It appears he is behind the take over of the SBC. Now I understand why Dr. Kelley said Mohler would never remove Russel Moore. If we don’t get something done this Summer, I am for following First Baptist Dallas.

By the way, these folks like Beth and Russel Moore voted for Hillary. Don’t kid yourself, these people are supporters of the democratic party. They support the evil house of abortion. Donald Trump represents everything they abhor: he is a white successful male from a privileged family. It is not his past that they hate or his sins [as if they don’t have any]; it is the fact that he is a white male, highly successful from a privileged family. I double dog dare you to prove me wrong.
