Enabling Evil

Scripture

He who bids him farewell is a sharer in his evil deeds.

2 John 11, Weymouth

We all need boundaries, guidelines and limits and we must demand that others respect them. There comes a time when you have to say “No”.

~Ya’akov

In first century Christianity, false teachers were a real problem. John’s instruction in his second epistle is that we do not give aid and comfort to false teachers. John said,  “when they come into town, don’t give them a place to stay, don’t take the under your roof or show them hospitality.” John conclusion is simple: if you help them, you are enabling their evil. This may not be an issue for you but it is me. If I give a drug addict money, I am enabling their habit. If I give them something they can convert to money, I am enabling their habit. I hate to say no to anyone or to even hint at the appearance of being selfish or greedy but I have really been convicted about giving to beggars. A nice young woman at Lowe’s ask me if I wanted to donate to the Red Cross and before I thought about how it sounded, I said, “No, I am not giving them a dime.” Then I felt guilty so I explained: “Their top executives pockets millions during the 9/11 crisis and I don’t trust them.” She said, “Sir, I happen to agree with you but I am required to ask.” I apologized to her for being so candid and blunt. Thankfully, she accepted my apology.

Grace Point voted last fall to withhold funds from SB causes until there is a change and CRT and social justice are scrubbed. I cannot in good faith support this evil. Both CRT and social justice are rooted in Marxism and Marxism in pure evil. How did this happen to the SBC? I have no idea. Very poor leadership is all I can think of and too many Mohlerites. What Paul said the the Corinthians fits the SBC leadership like a glove…But I am afraid that, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, your minds will be led astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ. For if one comes and preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted, you bear this beautifully. The social gospel is another gospel and the SBC leadership bears it beautifully. l got off of Facebook because everything I say seems to spark controversy but this was not my only motivation for getting off of Facebook; I don’t want to enable Zuckerberg who is a Sadducee, a Christ-hating agnostic Jew who hates American and is doing everything he can to destroy the Republic. Are you going to help him? I’m not.

Not as cold last night praise the LORD. I heard a lot about Civid yesterday. June family in Limestone have it and it has hit in the Brewer area again. I don’t know about you but I am tired of covid. Pray for my friends Mike Childers {covid} and Gregg Holladay {bone cancer}. Pray also for Sara Hooper and Traci as she takes care of them.
