Paul was quoting from Isaiah chapter forty-three, Let all the world look to me for salvation! For I am God; there is no other. I have sworn by My own name; I have spoken the truth, and I will never go back on My word: Every knee will bend to Me, and every tongue will declare allegiance to Me.” The people will declare, “The Lord is the source of all my righteousness and strength.” And all who were angry with Him {Jesus} will come to Him and be ashamed. I have understood for years that every knee would bow and this means believers and none believers but I had never thought about the difference from the stand point of the heart. I agree with Comfort, it will be an honor for me to bow before Jesus. I will do it gladly out of adoration, admiration and thanksgiving. All of the Christ rejecters will also bow but for a different reason. They will bow in fear and weakness. They will fall beneath the weight of His power and authority. They will not have the strength to stand, nor the courage. They will become like jelly fish and the law of gravity will pull them down. They will bow but not out of love, admiration and thanksgiving.

Ultimately, the sovereignty and power of Jesus will be dominant and triumphant. No one will defy Him and every person will submit {bow}. It is not a question of bowing, eventually we all bow; the question is how we bow in terms of our attitude. The unbelieving world will wait until they have to bow but we  can submit to Jesus now; worship and adore Him now. The last thing that Dallas Willard said to his only grandchild before his departure was…“Give them heaven.” We live in a world filled with people who will give you hell; what we need is a little more heaven. Find a group that loves Jesus and join them for worship. Bend the knee is thanksgiving and adoration for Jesus and you will get a good dose of heaven. It is really encouraging when we do this together so do not lay out of worship.

Liberals hear what they want to hear and then put the spin on what was said. John MacArthur made some comments before his sermon about Covid and the law suit and the libs labels it a concession speech. They didn’t listen to what he said. He said those who have had covid and the vaccine have the greatest immunity because they have the antibodies. He also said isolation and mask are counter productive to herd immunity. He was bases his statements on finding that have come out of Israel and their study of covid. He also quoted Isaiah three, And I will make mere lads their princes, and capricious children will rule over them, And the people will be oppressed, Each one by another, and each one by his neighbor; The youth will storm against the elder and the inferior against the honorable. Capricious childish leadership is what we have in America and according to MacArthur, this is God’s judgement on America. I don’t know enough to refute him. He may be right. We have capricious childish leadership for sure.

I got to drive the kids to school today. It is the first time in a long time. I enjoyed it. Holly and June are on their way to Vandy for a Doctors appointment. As far as I know, our covid cases are no worse but continue to pray for Christy and Hailey Clark. Also Josh and Mary have covid. We had a good group of Youth last night and they sat attentively and listened to my sermon. I was impressed.
