In The End

Scripture

The wicked will see it and be grieved; He will gnash his teeth and melt away; The desire of the wicked shall perish.

Psalm 112:10, NKJV

Quote

But the meek will inherit the land and enjoy peace and prosperity.

~David, Son of Jesse

Joseph had dreams of ruling over his brothers. His brothers made fun of him. They mocked him, ridiculed him, despised and hated him. When the opportunity to vent their wrath comes, they cease the day, throw him in a pit, then sale him as a slave. These boys, ten in all, were the vast majority and it looked as if they would have the final say but history tells us something different. In the end, Joseph wins. These stubborn, hateful, lying, murdering thugs bow their faces to the ground before Joseph not once but five times. Let the world mock our Christ. Let them vent their anger and hate. Judgment is coming. It is written in all the prophets, and it will surely happen.

One of the great promises in the bible, and I believe to be true, is that the meek will inherit the earth. Jesus will return and He will make this happen. He will rule with justice and fairness and the meek will be the blessed. The world is going to be upset with this arrangement or rearrangement. I was reading Micah a couple of days ago and I came across these verses…All the nations of the world will stand amazed at what the Lord will do for you. They will be embarrassed at their feeble power. They will cover their mouths in silent awe, deaf to everything around them. Like snakes crawling from their holes, they will come out to meet the Lord our God. They will fear Him greatly, trembling in terror at his presence. {Micah 7:16-17}

The Psalmist is right…The desire, the intent of the wicked will come to nothing. Their pipe dreams will melt away, dissolve quickly like wax beneath a blazing sun. They will be ashamed, stunned, speechless and crawling on their belly like snakes. They will lack the strength to stand on their feet. So, if you are a believer in Jesus Christ, give thanks because He has cast all your sins into the depths of the sea. {Micah 7:19} If you aren’t a believer, repent before it is too late.

It is hard for me to read the prophets and not get on our political situation but again, I spared you. We do need to pray for believers in Russia and the Ukraine. We need to pray for all those who are suffering due to this war. I don’t understand what is going on but I do believe God is in charge and He is allowing it for some reason. I didn’t understand why He allowed the dems to cheat us out of a good president {one who could have prevented this war} and I don’t understand this war but I do believe that Dallas Williard is right…God has conspired to overcome evil with good through human history. Right now history is still unfolding but, in the end, right will prevail. In the meantime, we need to pray for those who are suffering.
