Scripture

The Lord {YHWH} said to my Lord {Adoni}, “Sit in the place of honor at My right hand until I humble your enemies, making them a footstool under Your feet.”

~Psalm 110:1, NLT

We are living in the great ‘Until.’

Which is bigger, the horse or the mountain? It all depends on your perspective. If you are close to the horse and the horse is between you and the mountain, the horse may seem bigger. The biggest horse I’ve ever seen was at Franklin, Tennessee. It was a draft horse that stood well above six feet at the shoulders. If I am standing behind that horse, about all I am going to see is horse because the size of the horse plus my short statue will make it impossible to see anything else, but in reality, the horse is minuscule compared to the mountain.

In this world we will have tribulation. We have trials and afflictions that seem to be bigger than life itself. I consider cancer an enemy, an intimidating enemy that threatens our health and happiness. I don’t want there to be any misunderstanding: I don’t like cancer but if I keep things in perspective, which I struggle to do at times, I have to admit that the mountain of God’s grace and redemption is infinitely greater than cancer. Yes, I see the cancer but behind the cancer in the distance, I see the cross of Christ and God’s redemptive love. So, which is greater, Cancer or the CROSS? The cross is infinitely greater!

Psalm 110 is about Jesus. Literally, “Yahweh said to Adoni.” The Father said to the Son…“Sit at My right hand {side} UNTIL I make Your enemies a footstool.” We have six NT references to verify the fact that Psalm 110:1 is a reference to Jesus. The resurrected Jesus has ascended and is sitting by the Father waiting so to speak. Actually, we are the ones who are waiting. Jesus still has enemies. The people who stole the last election are enemies of Christ. They hate Jesus, the bible and the church. These enemies are not just here in the USA, they are scattered over the globe, but in time they will all be humbled. They are in rebellion now, but in time, they will submit and bow a knee to Jesus. I may not live to see it, but it will happen. In the meantime, we live in the great ‘Until.’ Until means it has not happened yet, but it is going to happen.

Today is election day. Although most things are decided in Morgan County, go vote anyway. I would give you advice on the amendments, but I am totally ignorant and don’t know what to tell you. They always make them so complicated that the average person {me} can’t figure them out. I think it is because they are drafted by lawyers. I always vote no unless I understand them but that may not be the thing to do.

One thing is certain: we need to pray for the country. The dems will cheat again; no question about that. They don’t have the votes and they know it. Let us pray that the election will be fair. The Republicans are weak and lacking in courage. It was their weakness and compromise that lead to Trump being unjustly removed. People like Richard Shelby betrayed us. Pray for the Republicans to exercise some backbone. Our only hope is Jesus. Thank God, His authority is not up to the vote of either party. JESUS IS LORD and there is nothing they can do about it. Can I get an Amen? I’m like Spencer {lets ring the} Bell; if I can’t get an amen, I will amen myself. It is a poor dog that can’t wag its own tail.
