There is no separating who God is from what God does. His actions and attributes are inseparably united. God is great because God is good. As we grow in our knowledge of His character, we are lead to praise Him more carefully and thankfully. The LORD does not feel the pressure of time. Although He created time and entered it in the incarnation, He stands outside of time, dwelling in the eternal present. Thus God never panics and He never hurries. It is our time consciousness that causes us to hurry but God has no need to hurry. Time can tarnish the works of man but time cannot diminish the works of God–they stand the test of time. All that God says and does has eternal significance and no man can thwart or tarnish His works. The cross is a perfect example.

Awe is the proper response to God’s greatness and goodness. God’s goodness should not only lead us to repentance, it should lead us to worship. If you think about, God has been better to America than He has Israel. If you don’t believe me, study history. We are the most blessed nation in history but the problem is that no nation in history has ever survived prosperity. It always leads to pride and decadence. Pride always precedes a fall. Oh that America could be an exception but only if we repent. I pray for REVIVAL in America daily. It is our only hope of survival.
