Relevant: You Better Believe It!

Scripture

Our courts oppose the righteous, and justice is nowhere to be found. Truth stumbles in the streets, and honesty has been outlawed. Yes, truth is gone, and anyone who renounces evil is attacked.

~Isaiah 59:14-15, NLT

Cancel culture is a pretentious form of bullying. Change my mind. Never mind, you don’t have the intellect.

I was reading Isaiah 59 a few days ago and when I read this passage, I stopped and wondered: wow, what a relevant word from God. The titans of tech have canceled the truth, being real, and speaking your mind; the very things that made America great. Oh, I forgot, you can’t say AMERICA WAS OR IS GREAT. Since they control all the major media outlets {Facebook, Twitter, TV Networks, etc}, they use their power to mute anyone who disagrees with their liberal and marxist agenda. Debate has been canceled. Intelligent conversation thrown out the door. There are realities that you and I are not allowed to talk about. Everything has to be staged and choreographed: they can’t dare take a chance on the truth getting out. BLM is Marxist and it’s mission is to divide but you will never hear that on the news and if you put it on Twitter of Facebook, you will be censored. It is a matter of time until they censor me. If they considered me a threat to their regime, I would have been canceled already. I am a tiny fish in a big pond. Thankfully, I am not on their radar screen.

Isaiah says a lot about our present culture; let me paraphrase his comments:  “There is no justice among us, and we know nothing about right living…We grope like the blind along a wall, feeling our way and have no idea where we are going. We are alive physically but dead as a door knob spiritually. We are the WALKING DEAD. In our vanity, we growl like hungry bears; we want this and we want that and we are scratching and clawing to get it.  Our sins are piled over our heads and God sees every single one. It would take a pure fool to deny our sin. We know we have rebelled and have denied the LordWe have turned our backs on our God. We know we don’t love our neighbor as much as we love ourselves and we carefully plan our next deceitful lie to defraud others. Our courts are corrupt, justice is a joke, truth is canceled and honesty has been outlawed. If you don’t believe me, start proclaiming the truth and see what happens.” {Isaiah 59:9-15, JEV}

Extra

A little late this morning: I overslept. I didn’t get up until 6:00 and then it was time to start breakfast for Josephine. It is not cold today: rather warm in fact so rain must be coming. I took a spill yesterday. I wish I had it on video. I am sure it would be hilarious. I was pulling the hose out of the shrubs and it got stuck so I hunkered down, put it over my shoulder and pulled like a mule. When it broke loose suddenly, I went forward and downward in a hurry. I plowed up the turf with my right shoulder but thankfully, the ground was very soft. You would be surprised how easy it is for a 27 year old to fall.

Pizza Supper tonight at the POINT @ 6:00 and service at 6:30. We will be in Psalm 105. Have a great day and thanks for reading the blog.
