Solomon said, “However many years you live, enjoy them but remember the days of darkness, for there will be many of them.” Unfortunately Solomon became a hedonist and he did not live a long life; he was probably in his mid-fifties and judging by his description of VD, I think that is probably what got him. A man with that many wives is bound to catch something and he lived long before penicillin. So, although he was filthy rich, he had some dark days. I am going to agree with Solomon, we all have some dark days. The storms of life are not respecters of persons: they come upon all who wear flesh. It is not a matter of if but when; the question is, how do we react when they come? As Erma Bombeck once said, “When life give you a lemon, make lemonade.”
The Aeolian Harp is a stringed instrument. It can be made with wood and wire. It works like wind chimes but is different. You hang it in the wind and he makes a singing noise, there is no percussion like in wind chimes. The irony is, the storms create the music. If our joy is in our health; what happens if we lose it? If our joy is in our possession, what happens if we lose our possessions? If our joy is in out children or spouse, what happens if we lose them? Job lost children, wealth and health. God allowed him to be stripped so that all he had left was his relationship with God. It is not until Jesus is all we got that we realize, He is all we need. When our joy is in him, we can sing through the storm like the Aeolian Harp.
It seems to me that the world is going bunkers. It could be that there is a lot about the corona-virus that I do not understand but I keep waiting to hear someone tell us why this thing is so dangerous when AIDS killed 15,000 in the US last year and they do not quarantine AIDS, never have and if you bring it up you are a bigot. There have been 11 deaths in the US from the Virus.
While everyone is in a panic about the coronavirus [COVID-19], there’s an even deadlier virus many people are forgetting about: the flu.
Flu season is hitting its stride right now in the US. So far, the CDC reports that at least 12,000 people have died from influenza between Oct. 1, 2019 through Feb. 1, 2020, and the number of deaths may be as high as 30,000. Twelve thousand in four months and they are going ape over 11 in four months. It does not make sense to me.
The CDC also estimates that up to 31 million Americans have caught the flu this season, with 210,000 to 370,000 flu sufferers hospitalized because of the virus.
All I am saying is: something is fishy. Either they are not telling us the truth about the virus or it is a big scam and my fear is that it is a snare for our president. I sure hope I am wrong: I want to be wrong. So my fear is not of the virus itself, my fear is that they media is blowing this out of proportion and then later they will blame it all on Trump.
