Scripture
Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.
~1Peter 5:8, NIV
Quote
The devil is working 24/7 causing pain and heartache in more ways than ever before.

This world is full of temptation. Due to the modern media platforms, there is more access to porn than ever before. I think we would all agree that drugs are a major problem in America and this was not so when I was a child or a young person. Marijuana is now available at practically any service station in Morgan County. They call it vaping which they said would be a step up from smoking, but that is not true. Vaping is more hazzardous to your health than smoking. There has always been temptation, but it seems that the intensity of temptation today is greater.
Peter’s warning is still relevant; we must be watching for Satan. He is not a friend; he is a foe and he will wreck our lives if given the chance. We must take Peter’s warning seriously or we will find ourselves in trouble. The best thing to do is to avoid as much temptation as possible. I don’t think we can avoid it all, but it is not wise to flirt with temptation. Samson is a good example of what will happen if you do. There are somethings that we believers have to face; things that will not go away. The devil is not going to quit and neither will pride, lust or greed. Why doesn’t God eradicate them all? I don’t know for sure, but one thing is clear: we can’t lick them on our own–we must have His help. We cannot overcome the evil one without the help of scripture and the Holy Spirit.

October has been pretty but awful dry. If there was not so much dust, I would say it has been a perfect month. I want to congratulate Terri and our ladies for a delicious meal yesterday. We got to use the new fellowship hall again. This Sunday, you will be able to park on that side if you need to. They were about half way with the paving when I left yesterday.
I have an appointment with a pulmonologist today in Cullman, other than that, I hope I get to study.
I hope you have a great day and thanks for reading the blog.
