Unbelievable Unbelief!

Scripture

You {Judah} have forgotten the Lord, your Creator, the one who stretched out the sky like a canopy and laid the foundations of the earth.

~Isaiah 51:13, NLT

Don’t forget He who never forgets.

David testifies in Psalm 8, When I look at the night sky and see the work of your fingers—the moon and the stars you set in place—what are mere mortals that you should think about them, human beings that you should care for them? The night sky is hard to miss unless you are blind. It is the only witness we need that an infinite God, with infinite power and wisdom exist. He created all that we see. When David looked at the night sky, he wondered and worshipped. How can anyone forget to look up at this celestial witness? How can we forget that we have a Creator; that is paramount to forgetting your mother and father. Yet this is exactly what Isaiah says to Judah, a nation that had forgotten their Creator and Sustainer. David said in Psalm 9:17, The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God. Bildah said, The hopes of the godless evaporate. He also said, “Those who forget God will wither like grass.”

It concerns me greatly that our prosperity has us focusing more on the gifts than the GIVER. Like Esau, we want to cling to our life {lifestyle} and have God throw in His blessings as a bonus but it does not work this way. Jacob had to commit his life to pursuing the blessing. Esau is typical of the worldly; they want God’s blessings, just not as much as they want their way. Jacob changes from prankster to prince; from scoundrel to saint but Esau never changes. His focus was on the temporal. He refused to look up at the night sky and consider his maker, the Eternal ONE. Unfortunately, the descendants of Abraham who followed Esau’s worldly example outnumber the ones who became true sons of Jacob. O that America might remember it’s Creator.  O that we would humble ourselves, pray,  seek God’s face and turn from our wicked ways. Pray for REVIVAL in America; pray it every single day.

PTL our Youth got home safely and we got the vans back to Athens. Getting those vans back and forth is a day’s work. They had a good trip and I think we had six POF’s from out group. I think they are giving more bad weather. It appears that January is going to be a beast. Remember it started with a 70* day.

Have a great day and thanks for reading the blog.
