Scripture
He is zealous for My sake.
~Numbers 25:11, KJV
Quote
The complacent, self-centered, and smug live selfishly in pursuit of their own pleasure, but eventually they tire from their pleasures and even tire of themselves.
~Billy Graham
I have another quote, the world we live in will praise zeal and enthusiasm as long as it is not for Christ. The over zealous are highly praised so long as they don’t mention the name of Jesus. We all remember Tim Tebow and his very brief stint with the Denver Broncos. June and I both got to watching the NFL when Tebow was playing. They made the playoffs and Tim had the 316 game {Like John 3:16}. He had 316 yards passing and three TD’s I think. When interviewed, Tim said, “First of all I want to thank and praise my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” Of course this made the media nervous as well as the big whigs in the NFL. I knew right then, Tim was a marked man. Sadly Dever traded Tim and got Paton Manning who was a shell of his old self. Manning numbers in the following super bowl were not good, not nearly as impressive as Tim’s 316 game. It was actually denver’s defense that won the game but of course Manning {media darlings} got the credit. The NFL, which is an arm of the Democratic Party, spit Tim out. They have done this with every outspoken Christian who mentions the name Jesus. They may allow it for a season but they will not permit it to continue. One way or the other, they will see that things get difficult for those who praise Jesus.
The world honors movie stars, athletes, presidents; folks like John Kennedy and Martin Luther King but they give no honor nor respect for men like David Livingston, Hudson Taylor or your pastor. I do admit that Billy Graham and C.S. Lewis get some ink. John Kennedy and C.S. Lewis died on the same day but you didn’t hear anything about Lewis, did you? Mother Teresa and Princes Diana died on the same day: which one got the news coverage? The world will never honor a devoted Christian.

I hope you have a MERRY CHRISTMAS and a happy new year. I will be taking some time off I think. We plan to go to the mountains for five days. It hasn’t happened yet but that is our plan. See you January 6, 2025 LORD willing.
