Standing Amazed

Scripture

All the nations of the world will stand amazed at what the Lord will do for you. They will be embarrassed at their feeble power.

~Micah 7:16, NLT

There is but one good and that is God; everything else is good only when it looks to Him and evil when it turns from Him.

Holly, my daughter, text me the other day and asks me what I thought about Israel bombing Iran. I texted back and told her that I didn’t know what was going on and I didn’t. I never, ever watch the news! I did listen to some reports from Newsmax on Saturday and from what I could gather, Israel has been highly successful in accomplishing their mission which is to stop Iran from being a threat to their safety and to peace of the world. Israel did not lose one pilot or one plane. They took out numerous targets with flawless precision. To be honest, I felt a sense of awe as I listened to the report.

I don’t know what it’s worth, probably not much, but let me give you my take: this is what I believe. There are promises in the word of God to Israel and I believe some of them are in the prophecy of Micah. I think the world will be amazed at what God does to preserve the State of Israel. I do wish they were all believers in Yahweh, but the truth is that most are agnostic. It does not matter, God will keep the promises. In my personal opinion, I think it is foolish to make war against them. It is paramount to rebellion against God Himself. It is a battle that cannot be won.

The radical Islamic leaders of Iran are not very intelligent. They are driven by hate and contempt but their judgment is very poor. Would you attack a lion with a water pistol? Would you go swimming in a shark tank with a bleeding toe? Would you ride a bicycle into a tornado? How intelligent do you have to be to know when to leave something that is lethal and dangerous alone? They just don’t get it. According to Newsmax, Red China is behind it all stirring the stink. Pray for Israel and our President.

I had a double fathers day. We got together Saturday evening and again last night. I told the kids not to get me anything and of course, they did not listen, but they all worked to make it a good weekend for me and I appreciate it. The ones that could came to worship with us at the POINT. We had four on the beach and five back at DBC holding down the fort. It was a good day and we are thankful. When I laid down to rest yesterday evening and say my evening prayers, for the second week in a row, I could only utter one word and I repeated over and over…THANK YOU LORD.

June told me before I left the house that Jason is 50 today. I didn’t realize that he is eleven years older than Mandy.

We got over 6 inches of rain last week. Two gully washers on Saturday and another last night. We should have corn today. I know one thing, we have plenty of grass and weeds.

Hope you have a good Monday. Thanks for reading the blog.
