How I delight in your commands! How I love them!
~Psalm 119:47

What a privilege it is to have access to the Bible daily!
~Billy Graham
Those of you who are reading Billy Grahams PEACE FOR EACH DAY will know where this blog originated. I am running short of time and it is getting close to my bed time and I thought this was a good devotion so here goes. Suppose an archaeologist discovered the original diary of Atilla the Hun, Genghis Khan or Alexander the Great; or better still, the love letter of Cleopatra to Mark Anthony. Imagine the stampede into book stores across America to get of copy of such books. I believe Cleopatra’s love letter would go like hot cakes. Yet we have a book that is God’s love letter to mankind and it collects dust in most house holds. Some had rather do anything as to read the Bible.
Unfortunately, what Americans don’t realize is that in many parts of the world, there are no bibles, or they are forbidden and if you are caught with one, you will be punished severely. My missionary friend, lets just call him Jim, told us this week that in the country where he serves, the moment you mention a Bible, the local officials become hostile. They do not want bibles in their country. Of course they are Muslims. Dr. Graham tells about a convert in China who came to know the LORD by reading one page of the bible at a time as it was circulated among the people. What a privilege it is to have a Bible, the entire Bible. What a privilege to meet with friends and study the Bible. Can you believe there are professing Christians who prefer to watch TV rather than to hear their pastor teach the Bible. There isn’t much hunger for the word of God in our culture but I promise you if all our Bibles were taken from us, we would get hungry quick.

I got to watch the CHOSEN last night. Ciaphais is not mean enough on the Chosen version and I don’t think Pilot was a sissy, but I did like Jesus cleansing the temple. I believe they got that one right. Even if you don’t watch the Chosen, you need to watch that episode. You will get a glimpse of God’s anger toward sin. One man, not a mere man, against thousands and no one stopped Him. How is it that He was able to do such a thing in broad daylight with guards everywhere. I will tell you how: He was who He said He was! I sat there saying over and over, “You are not going to stop him.”
Well we got two more rains yesterday. We have had about 10 inches in June. For the record, I think the Christmas lights are working. June is going back to the corn patch today. The squirrels are getting in it but they don’t do as much damage as the coons.
I hope you have a good Wednesday. Thank you for reading the blog.
