John Phillips was a preacher slash Bible scholar. He translated the NT into everyday language and has wrote many commentaries. He is the king of alliteration, which I don’t particularly care for. My philosophy is use the best word that conveys the message. He wrote a verse by verse commentary of Proverbs, which is rare, and he asks the LORD to give him an illustration for every verse. Chapter one deals with fleeing temptation; avoiding the snare of sin. Solomon said, “Even birds flee when they see a snare.” How is it that birds are more intelligence than humans.
Sin can be attractive and sometimes we don’t see the snare. The devil is good at alluring. He is like the bass fisherman, he dangles and attractive bait but there is a hidden hook beneath the bait or lure. We are all capable of talking the bait. Greed, selfishness, pride, envy…these are things that we all struggle with but today I want to talk about an evil that is so deep it can result in violence. The man I am about to describe was the son of an Irish immigrant. He was a bank president at age twenty-five and a millionaire at age 30. He was a ship builder, a movie czar and the manager of an investment banking corporation. He became even richer by working the stock exchange and retired in his early forties with enough money to burn a team of wet mules. He became the first chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission which outlawed the very pracitice that had made him wealthy. No one knows how many people he injuried or destroyed to get to the top. He was ruthless. He was so mean that his own children feared him. He had one daughter that was an embarrassment to him due to her inability to learn like his other children. He had doctors perform a lobotomy on her and she lived in a vegetable state from that point on. He nor his sons ever mentioned her: it was like she was dead. When the priest was performing the last rites on him, as soon as the priest said, “And deliver us from evil,” this man died. His name was Joseph P. Kennedy, father of John F. Kennedy, Robert and Ted. What did Jesus say, “Those who live by the sword will die by the sword.” Of four sons, only one died of natural causes and he was probably the weakest of the bunch. Two were assinated, shot down like dogs and one was killed in action in WWII. Sin has its own accountant and if you go the way of Cain {sinful rebellion}, you will pay. All who rebel against Holy God will pay; maybe not today or tomorrow but they will pay. The person who murdered Charlie Kirk will pay and all those around him [the murderer] who gave him support will pay. John Dillinger had an evil mother who supported his life of crime. She was an enabler–she will pay. The judge who kept releasing the black criminal will pay. He enabled the murder: he will pay. He may live in a gated community but the death angel will get him and brink him into account with the Holy God. He will pay!

Got to love the weather. We were supposed to get a thunder storm last night: I waited for it but it didn’t come. We are going to make our mens breakfast on October 11, the CHARLIE KIRK MEMORIAL BREAKFAST. It will be at 8:00 am at the POINT. Perry Smith is going on his trip, so he is OK and Don Murphy fell yesterday and had to be stitched up but is back at home. I want everyone to slow down and be careful. Jan Fields is about the same, maybe some slight improvement. Betty Sue Appleton Stephenson Harpe had her 92nd birthday yesterday. I’m glad she don’t read the blog. She doesn’t like being called “Betty Sue.” They were carrying her and Kenneth to Big Mike’s in Gunterville but she didn’t feel like going. They went without her but the catch is: they brought her a steak. That would work for me. If CB was this side of Hartselle, I would go three times a week. If Top of the River was this side of Huntsville, I would go once a week but Gunterville is too far.

If the Kennedy’s fascinate you like they do me, you want to read Kessler’s work. I read the exert out of Reader’s Digest, it was spell binding. Rose Marie, one of the daughters was sent from private school to private school because Joseph deemed her inferior to the other children and a political liability, without his wife knowing, he had frontal lobotomy performed on Rose Marie and it left her unable to speak. He put her in an institution in Wisconsin and kept it all a secret. He was a ruthless man. She was not retarded: she battled depression and this maniac destroyed any chance she had of a normal life and not one thing was done about it. She had an active life, a little on the wild side, before her daddy had her butchered. So sad!

Yesterday to conclude my prayer time, I looked on line for some info about Charlie Kirks family {Mom and Dad} so I could pray for them. I got incensed at what I saw, over and over again, he was labeled a right-wing political activist. They also referred to Trump as a right-wing politician. Wrong, wrong, wrong: he is not a politician at all because he tells the truth. Politicians are like the media, they lie, lie, lie. The left is celebrating this boys death just as BLM is celebrating the murder of the Ukrainian girl. This is sick folks! It is pure hate and evil. One article even mentioned Conservative Democrats. Are you kidding! There are marxist democrats and socialist democrats but there is no such thing as a conservative democrat. There were a few left in the 70’s and 80’s but they are all gone. Unfortunately, there are dupes {democrats} who vote for these marxist but these folks are ignorant of what is taking place. Of course, all of them hate Trump and most of them are pork barrel democrats. I will say one more time. If you support abortion on demand as the democrats do, you are not a child of God. You are decieved. Either you are ignorant of what abortion is or you are blind to your own sin. There is no way Jesus is not pro-life. So you are a conservative democrat and you hate Trump and Charlie Kirk. Do you not see something terribly wrong about your hatred. Oh, you are a media dupe…it is OK to hate “Right-Wing” politicians and activist. Charlie Kirk was a Christian who acted like a Christian, not one of the closet democrats that claims to be conservative and yet votes for abortion on demand and justifies their hatred for Donald Trump. God have mercy on your ignorant soul.
I didn’t care for Carter. He was the first to appoint a lesbian to a cabinet level position {Sarah Webbington} and he tried to force HILLSDALE COLLEGE to take federal money so the feds could tell them who they could enroll and who they couldn’t. They know the real Jimmy Carter at Hillsdale. He was a incompetent and a far left winger but I didn’t hate him. I never prayed for his heart to implode. I did pray for him as much as I have prayed for any president but it was for him to repent and change his evil ways. He was for abortion on demand. He didn’t even advocate for the unborn when partial birth abortions were being debated. That is all I need to know. I am not hanging out with people who think it is OK to kill a baby.
