Scripture
They take pleasure in doing wrong, and they enjoy the twisted way of evil.
~Proverbs 2:14, NLT
Quote
“In the secular world, the only sin is to call sin a sin.”
~Adrian Rogers
Our nation is divided but I don’t think this is anything new. The distinctive line that separates us is evil. Some people do not see evil as evil. I am sure that abortion and the industry that promotes it and profits from it is evil. Yet I know folks who think it is good. It blows my mind how any professed Christian sees abortion as good. The recent slaying of the greatest Christian apologist of our time has produced a fire storm of hateful rhetoric. Insane comments like, “Charlie Kirk deserved to die.” One woman said, “Charlie Kirk was a hater and haters must be eliminated.” Both statements are unbelievable. These folks do not see the evil in shooting a man in the neck because he is exalting Christ and sharing the gospel. The boy never hurt anyone. These same folks who celebrate Charlie’s death will riot if the police shoot a criminal. Is this not insane?
Evil people love evil and see nothing wrong with participating in the works of darkness. They enjoy the twistedness, the perversion of the truth, and the intellectual deceit. The revel in the lie and love it when evil triumphs. Jezebel was such a person. She loved evil. She had no qualms with lying if it enabled her to get what she wanted. She had a good man executed just so she could take his property rights. She lied, schemed, murdered and stole just to make her weak and hen-pecked husband happy. His happiness was short lived. When Ahab went to check out his new property, acquired by the vile evilness of his wicked wife, Elijah the prophet was there to greet him. Elijah said to Ahab, “Have you murdered and also taken possession? Thus says Yahweh, In the place where the dogs licked up the blood of Naboth the dogs will lick up your blood, even yours.” Dr. R.G. Lee said, “Ahab tried to act tough but Elijah’s words haunted him for the rest of his miserable life and everytime Ahab heard a dog bark, he jumped.” Ahab’s story might have been totally different had he married a virtuous woman but he was wed to evil and he never divorced it or her and it became his undoing.
Proverbs chapter two is about DISCRETION, the ability to draw a line between good and evil and to shun evil.

The LORD is good. I am thankful. It has allowed me to lie down in a green pasture; He has restored my soul. Thank God for His grace and mercy. Over 300,000 attended Charlie Kirks COLS. Only 64,000 could be seated. Wow, what a testimony! I wonder how the media spin doctors will spin this? They will find some evil in the good. Of course they do not use the Bible as a dictionary; they have made up their own when it comes to sin. As Isaiah said, “They call bad good and good bad.”
We got a brief shower yesterday. Not enough to measure. A dust settler of a sort but thankful for every little bit. TODAY is the first day of fall so hopefully all of the extremely hot weather is gone. The September humidity has not been bad but we need rain.
I hope you have a great Monday and a great week. Thanks for reading the blog.
