We know that it is impossible to please God a part from faith. Faith is the only means we have to relate to the eternal invisible God. You cannot see Him, no one has seen Him other than Jesus. He did make Himself visible in Christ but Christ has returned to heaven. They say that when Pompey, the Roman General, broke into the inter part of the Jewish Temple, he said is disgust, “These poor Jews have no gods.” Of course he was looking for a idol made of gold or precious minerals, something he could plunder as a treasure. The pagan were constantly chiding the Jews with the question, “Where is your God?” The pagans could see their gods; the Jew could not. God’s way of relating to us is faith.

To the woman with an issue of blood, Jesus said, “Daughter; your faith has made you well.” He also said to blind Bartimeus,“Go your way; your faith has made you well.” He said the exact same thing to the leper who came back to give Him thanks. When the four men brought thier paralytic friend to Jesus and let him down through the ceiling, Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic,“Son, your sins are forgiven you.” In Mark 9 we have the story of the man whose son had seizures… He said to Jesus, “Have mercy on us and help us, if you can.” “What do you mean, ‘If I can’?” Jesus asked. “Anything is possible if a person believes.” This is when the man said, “I believe, please help my unbelief.”

So did Jesus heal these people or was it faith? You know the answer is always Jesus. Faith is vital but Jesus must be its object. It was Jesus who did the healing and they were healed because they believed in Jesus. The father of the boy didn’t have a lot of faith but he did have enough to come to Jesus. Our faith may not be great but our Savior is. We never worship faith or put faith in faith. We put all the faith we have in Jesus. Faith is helpless to save us a part from Jesus.

Extra

We are getting some precious rain: I love it. I know some you don’t think so but we need the rain. The water table is still low. I came to the office in a T-shirt so I am enjoying the warm weather and the rain. THANK YOU JESUS.

I know I was anxious the first 20 days of January; I was afraid that Caiaphas and his group would do something to Trump or come up with something like they did last time. Someone told me yesterday that eggs when shy-high because Biden exterminated 200 million layer hens. He claimed that had bird flu. Yeah, right! It was just one more act of sabotage to taint what Trump had done. Rule or ruin, that is the motif of the dems. I have relaxed some what but I still pray mulitiple times a day for the LORD to protect our President. It is nice to have a president, isn’t it. Even with this extra anxiety, January 2025 has flown by.

Keep praying for our sick. Christy did not get to do chemo last week due to her low numbers. Matter of fact, they had to give her some blood. Pray for Christy.
