Mountains And Molehills

Scripture

He replied, “What is impossible for people is possible with God.”

~Luke 18:27, NLT

Quote

“There is no limit to what God can do; the impossible is His starting point.”

One of my Mother’s favorite idioms was “don’t make a mountain out of a molehill.” She was saying don’t make something big out of something small but this is easier said than done. My problems cannot be big to an infinite God but they are huge to me. The difference between a mountain and a molehill is perspective. To an ant, a molehill is a mountain but to me a molehill is nothing. I can step on them and crush them. Five feet and seven inches is the average height of humans {men and women}. I am 350 times taller than an ant. Too Tall is more than 400 times the height of an ant. In terms of body mass,  I am 39 million times larger than an ant. This is a pretty significant difference, don’t you think. The bottom line is when the ant sees a molehill, it is a mountain it must climb but I can simple step on or step over the molehill. It is no mountain to me.

Nothing is impossible with God. There is nothing in the finite world that He can’t step on or over. That which is huge to us, is insignificant to Him. The Infinite One has no problems and knows no limits yet He cares about us and encourages us to pray. When we pray, we are going to talk about our problems. This is what He expects us to do. He wants us to confide in Him; to rely upon Him and to understand what David understood, “Human help is worthless in many cases.” {Psalm 108:12}

Lincolns surgery went great. June talk to him last night via FB. We are thankful. Our great grand son Gracen had a football game last night and the weather was perfect. It felt good when I got out this morning and right now I am running no air in the office. It is going to drop even more tonight PTL. I love it.

Football and Labor Day are here. I have never seen a year go so quickly. It has been a blur. David Cowart got the fellowship hall system working and pass the word that no one is to mess with it without going through David. He will show you how it works.

God bless you. I hope you have a great day.

Something unique that may not happen again: at last night’s game: Joe David our son was the white cap {referee}, Landon our grandson, was one of the Hartselle coaches {OC} and Gracen our great grand son was playing. We had six more greats in the stands: Piper, Jackson, Titan, Gunner the hunter whose dad has become a runner, Caroline June {Alias sissy-p} and Tatem Brook. Only one negative; we were at Hartselle instead of our beloved Danville. We have little hope that any of the greats will get to attend Danville. Our hawks have turned into tigers. I have no idea how this happened. It could be worse; they could all be democrats.
