Scripture
O Lord, rescue me {him} from evil people. Protect me {him} from those who are violent, those who plot evil in their hearts and stir up trouble all day long.
~Psalm 140:1-2, NLT
Quote
The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.
~Edmund Burke
LORD protect president Trump from evil doers; rescue him from their violent schemes. They concoct secret strategies to divide out country by stirring up trouble between races and classes. They are known for their sharp tongues; for their malicious and poisonous words. Keep president Trump safe LORD, out of the reach of these wicked and powerful men who are trying to ruin him and bring him down by plotting evil schemes. These are proud and insolent men who set traps for the president in their effort to bring him down. Give our president your strength and protect him in this battle for truth. LORD Yahweh, hear our cry, show us mercy; don’t let the wicked triumph over us. Subdue them, bring down every strategy they have devised against our president. Humble them LORD. Let their proud trouble making come to nothing. May their slanderous lies fall on deaf ears. Let them be destroyed by their own evil. LORD we will praise You no matter what happens for we choose to serve YOU rather than bow to the dictates of evil men.
This prayer is based on Psalm 140 using the NLT and the Passion Bible. Not many word changes: if you don’t believe me, check it out for yourselves. The Psalm was originally about David, I just incerted President Trump in David’s stead.

I sat in amazement as I read Psalm 140 yesterday. Some things don’t change and human nature is one of them. I don’t watch the news but I know that they go after our president every single day and I pray that they fail.
The power went off shortly after we started but I had the message on my I-pad, which I have not being doing a lot lately. I do use it when I have a lot of scripture to quote and for some reason, I had it last night. I couldn’t see the congregation but they could see me. It was not completely dark outside and that helped. They had flash flooding in the Costco Creek area. The creek between Poor House Road and Black Road was flooded and there was water across the road between Poor House and Too Tall’s. We took a detour going. I was ready to dismiss the two or three who showed up and we had the biggest Wednesday crowd we have had all year. It was less than a hundred, about eighty less.
Keith’s dad, Billy Con Turney is in critical condition. Keith was going to try to move him home which is where he wants to die. I will find out more in a couple of hours. Yesterday he was in ICU at Decatur General. Josh told me last night that he talked to Lincoln and that he is making progress.
Forty-niners meet tomorrow at 11:30. I do know all that we are having, but I know it includes beef roast, corn bread muffins, peas, sweet potato casserole, corn salad, navy beans, slaw and I don’t know what all else. It will be a feast. Last month’s spread was unbelievable. Last Sunday morning was unbelievable.
Have a great day and thanks for reading the blog.
