I was reading commentary on Psalm 82, which happens to be a controversial passage that has been popularized recently by men like Michael Heiser. Some see Psalm 82 as describing a council of the gods with Yahweh being the chief among them. I disagree. There is only one God. The term Elohim can be used of both God and man. I am confident that Psalm 82 is talking about human judges. Humans who have delegated and appointed powers over other humans. Warren Wiersbe agrees with me and so does John Philips. In reading John Philips he mentions Karl Marx when he comes to Psalm 82:4, Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked. It stirred my curiosity and so I listened to Marx’s authobiography on YouTube. Many of these things I studies in college but to be honest, I needed to be refreshed.
Marx’s father was Jewish. The family name was Levi but he changed it to Marx. Marx’s father also joined the Lutheran church. Perhaps for economic and political reasons, no one knows. Karl did not follow the example of his father. He embraced the new family name Marx but not Christianity or the Lutheran church. He hated Christianity, hated God, despised his own parents. He had no associations with his own relatives and hated the Jewish people. Reminds you of Hitler who had Jewish blood, but no affinity for his Jewish relatives.
I can’t remember everything: I was trying to take notes but can’t write fast enough: Marx was high functioning alcoholic and a bum. He never worked a day in his life. He lived on the edge of poverty and would have starved had it not been for his friend and enabler Freidrich Engels who gave half his salary to Marx. Engels came from a well to do family in the textile industry. Engels was a hypocrite. He made his money as a capitalist while funding Marx the hater of capitalism.
Marx was poor and claimed to be an advocate for the poor but in truth he hated poor people as well as the rich. He was a misanthrope, he hated everyone. He formed the INTERNATIONAL WORKINGMEN ASSOCIATION In 1864 which is basically the first communist party.
Marx had some influence in the Civil War and the French Revolution. He published articles in the New York Daily Tribune form 1852-1861. They stopped publishing his articles because he was promoting the civil war. The Tribune wanted peace but Marx wanted a bloody revolution. Of course we all know that he was the primary influence in the Russian Revolution. The Utopian society that communism purports never comes about. Communism always {100%} evolves into an authoritarian state and leads to the suppression of human rights or the rights of the individual. Marx was an intellectual thug. He caused trouble everywhere he went and was forced to leave city after city. He died penniless. Only eleven people attended his grave side service, including Engels who paid for his buriel. How many millions have died due to the evil these two conceived? Only God knows.
One other thing: Marx died at the youthful age of 64 from a life time of abuse. He drank hard liquor, smoked and use drugs. He never provided for his family and refused to take care of his dying wife.
It is hard to arrive at a point after discussing such a vile human being. I guess the moral of the story is that we are all accountable for how we relate to and treat others.

Christy Clark was promoted early yesterday morning {July 31, 2025}.
She was at her mothers house on Couey Road in Florette. Christy had a great attitude. Of course she was heart broken when she found out that she had cancer but her pain never turned to bitterness. She lived less than a year after diagnosis but she did get to do some special things with her mom, brother, children and grandchildren. I had a great visit with Christy, Harley and Hannah on July 20. I probably stayed there for an hour or so. I also got to talk to her Monday night but she was really tired and we didn’t stay that long. Our sympathy to Mark and the children and also to Vickie and Blake. Christy was a school teacher {Randolph, in Huntsville} and worked part time with an accounting firm during income tax season. She served as our treasurer for some five years.
I think the Guatemala team is somewhere around Cullman. They got stuck in Atlanta overnight and had to rent vans. The entire time is exhausted. Pray they get home safely.

You might find this interesting; Marx and Engels were both German born in the Rhineland which was at the time of their birth Prussia. Both spent most of their lives in London; both died there. Engels ran a textile mill in Manchester. Marx was basically, a wellfare bum. Both were expelled from Germany.
Marx professed goal was to do away with poverty, ironically, he made the problem much worse.
