Scripture
But the man who commits adultery is an utter fool,
for he destroys himself.
~Proverbs 6:32, NLT

Solomon preached cream and lived skimmed milk.

Solomon’s teachings on adultery are solid. It does seem rather odd that a man with a thousand wives would talk about a young man being seduced by a prostitute {Proverbs 7}. There are consequences to sleeping with a prostitute but there are also consequences to being a polygamist. I guess Solomon justified his position by claiming that his wives were not prostitutes. Adultery is adultery. It seldom involves a prostitute. Solomon said in Ecclesiastes 7:28, “Only one out of a thousand men is virtuous, but not one woman!” I think Solomon was down on women and I think he had a love/hate relationship with his own mother, but I do admit that it is total conjecture. He does suggest in all his writings that men are victims to the females seduction and charms. Whereas it is true that women control their passions much better than men and can use them at will to get what they want, they are not always the agressors. Women seduce, men rape: which is more vile? I think we are all equally guilty.
The one thing that should help us avoid the pitfall of adultery is the fear of the consequences: you will destroy your own life. Some translation read, destroy your own soul. There is no sin without consequence but adultery’s consquences are greater than most. Only fools ignore consequences. We have all seen both men and women jump the fence looking for a greener pasture. Several years into their new relationship, they are miserable. Oh they appear to be happy on the outside. They go the extra mile to convince everyone around them that they are happy, but they are not. Deep down they are grieving because they have destroyed something that can never recover. How many people do you know that will admit they are wrong when they are wrong? Not many, if any. That is pride, pure pride but deep down they know they made a bad mistake and they will suffer the consequences from now on. All the kings horses and all the kings men, can put their family back together again and they did it all just to placate their sensual desires. They also sacrificed their own soul: guilt and regret stay with them night and day, twenty-four-seven.

Beautiful day yesterday. We got .85 inches of rain and the high was 81. I can live with that: Thank You Jesus! Buddy gave us an electronic rain gauge and I love it. I had rather watch it as the TV. I don’t have a TV in my office but I may get another rain gauge for the office.
I forgot to tell you about last week: two government health care workers came by to interview me and check me out. A part of the procedure was weighing me so I hooped on our scales. They said, “No, no, no, you have to use our scales.” I weighed 80. I said, “these government scales are wrong.” They said no,“That is kilograms.”I said, this is America, and we go by pounds. Who came up with this? Some of these globalist marxist democrats I am sure.” When it was all over, I asked them. Have you ever interviewed and examined a person like me. They refused to comment but both laughed. I told them I was not taking anymore government vaccines. I don’t trust them.
Hope you have a great day and thanks for reading the blog.
