Merry Christmas

Scripture

Thank God for His gift too wonderful for words!

~2 Corinthians 15:9, NLT

Quote

Jesus the author of history, entered history by taking on the role or Savor.

~Ya’akov

C.S. Lewis sees history as a PLAY with God as the author. In this play, Jesus, the creator of history becomes the main player in the play. He is actually in the entire play although you do not see Him clearly in the first act {Old Testament}. Then comes Christmas and Jesus takes center stage for a brief 33 years. Then Jesus steps behind the curtains and the Holy Spirit takes center stage, but Jesus will return and take center stage again. It will be the final act of history. One of the things that will survive this world is Christmas. We will never stop celebrating Christmas, God’s unspeakable gift that makes heaven possible. So have a Merry Christmas everyone and be assured it is celebrated in heaven where many of our friends and loves ones reside.

We had 41 at our Candlelight Communion Service and it was a wonderful service. I want to thank Emma and Anna for running the sound and video. Christmas is a big deal for Baileys; I think it all started with my grandmother Winnie Halbrooks. She transferred her love for Christmas to my mother and that is how it got into the Bailey Family. We all spent the night at Mother and Daddy’s until Seth was born and then we started doing Christmas in Danville. We don’t all spend the night together anymore; we left Holly’s last night about 10 pm and all went to our own house. But we will congregate again today and they will play more bingo. To cap it off, we have a steak supper tonight.

These are our plans but you never know what will happen. I have spent more than one Christmas at Hospitals and ER’s. Thank God, so far, so good! I hope you have a MERRY CHRISTMAS.
