Smooth words may hide a wicked heart,
just as a pretty glaze covers a clay pot.
~Proverbs 26:23, NLT
In order to live wisely in our present culture of self-promotion, fake news, fictional history, and phony politicians; the ability to discern evil disguised as good is essential.
When Trump first announced his candidacy for president, I laughed. I thought, “What can this clown bring to the table?” Now, I realize I was wrong. I gladly confess my error and misjudgment. Most of us were worried about his morality but as it turns out, he is more moral than most in Washington D.C. With Trump, what you see is what you get: he doesn’t pretend. He is a shrewd and hard working business man but a politician, he is not! This suits me just fine. I am sick of politicians.
Regarding today’s scripture: The Jews would take a clay vase and overlay it with a thin coat of silver dross. The vase would be practically worthless but they would sale it as pure silver. A wise person would look inside the vase, give it a little scratch with the finger nail and see that it was actually a clay vase, practically worthless.
We live in a world of deception; people will take advantage of each other simply because they can and some become wealthy by doing so. The bible calls this ill gotten gain [Proverbs 1:19, 28:16]. People who carry out such a practice are no different from those who defraud and steal. Politicians like Pelosi are frauds; they are con-artist. She is not there to represent her district: she has not done one thing for her district this term nor has any other democrats like Doug Jones. They are there to get rich and every democrat in Washington receives money from Planned Parenthood or other abortion providers. Planned Parenthood spent 45 million on the last election. He might make a fine Senator for New York or California but Jones is a disgrace to the great State of Alabama.
Jones has made no secret of his support for women’s reproductive rights. On Sept. 23, he posted a photo of himself at a Planned Parenthood event.
I pray for our President daily that God would give him wisdom and protection. I think God that he has exposed the media for their fraud and deception. I talked to one of our leaders at GP just a couple of days ago, a man who has experience in dealing with local media and he knows all to well, they cannot be trusted. They will edit and distort what you say in interviews. They have a hidden agenda and it has nothing to do with the truth. Jimmie Stephenson once said of the Decatur Daily Democrat, “If you find the truth in the Daily, it is a coincidence.” He said this 40 years ago and the Daily is worse about distorting the truth today than then. The good news is: the Daily is on the way out–it will not survive in this age of social media. The world will be a better place without it!
This is day 13 of the Covid-19 Shut-down. Update as of seven hours ago: 1,060 cases in Alabama with 17 fatalities. Twenty confirmed cases in Morgan County with no deaths. Not any dramatic change since yesterday and this is a good thing.
We got some wonderful sunshine and a very nice 62 degree temp: hard to beat that! I have had technical problems most of the day. The Chloe Bug knocked our internet cable connection lose this morning around 10 and it was almost 4:00 pm before I could get back on line at Eastern Gate Headquarters.
I am in the process of trying to tape tonight’s message and I can see it is not going to be easy. I hope it will be loaded by the normal time which is 6:30 pm. However, I am not making any promises.
I’m going to post early while the internet is working: this is actually Thursday’s blog but I am sure some will read it today. Wash your hands and gargle with mouthwash, salt water or hydrogen peroxide.
