From time to time, while I am doing my daily bible reading, a verse will jump off the pages into my mind and heart. I don’t know how many times I have read Proverbs 13:12, “Hope deferred makes the heart sick.” When this verse grabbed my attention the other day, my first response was to check out other translations but most every translations is stated the same way, “Hope deferred makes the heart sick.” I was able to find a couple of exceptions: the GNT reads, “When hope is crushed, the heart is crushed.” God’s Word translation says, “Delayed hope makes you sick at heart,” and Young’s translates it “Hope prolonged makes the heart sick.” The Hebrew word maw-shak’ means to draw, draw out, drag on, drag along. We are longing for the return of Christ. He promised to come back and get us and many of us are ready. Death is not what I fear, it is the condition of the world that makes me uneasy. The feminization of a super power makes me sick. The parasites in Washington who are sucking out the life blood of this great country makes me sick. The fact that we may have seen our last free election makes me sick.

To be honest with you, sin makes me sick. I am tired of evil mocking justice. Obviously our hope is JESUS. When Jesus comes He will set things right. The hypocrisy in Washington and in the church will be called out. Jesus will make public those who are His true followers and those who have been pretending. When is He coming? How much longer must we wait? How bad can men become before they they destroy themselves? How could Sodom be worse than New York or L.A. or just about every city in the USA. Will God intervene before we destroy ourselves? Are you sick of waiting? Waiting can be stressful to the point of making us sick. Jesus gave us His word and we must be patient. Do not allow the delay to crush your faith. Stay in the WORD; watch and pray. Keep on sharing the gospel and helping those in need. Blessed is that servant whom his master finds working when He comes. {Luke 12:43}

I made a promise to myself that I would not complain about lack of rain or extreme heat. Problem is, my cup leaks and I probably will not make it through the first heat wave without complaining. It is warming up today but the extreme heat is on the way, at least that is what they say. God is good. I thank HIM for the opportunities He gives me to share the gospel. We all have friends who are hurting so pick one out and pray for them.

Have a great day and a great week. Thanks for reading the blog. Pray for our great grand son Titon. He has been sick for two weeks and he is not getting better. Can’t keep anything on his stomach. Please pray for John Titon. He is 15 months old.
