Repentance And Revival

Scripture

Can a corrupt throne be Your ally, a throne that makes evil laws? They band together against the life of the righteous
and condemn the innocent to death.

~ Psalms 94:20-21 (CSB)

Quote

Abortion and racism are twin evils, born of the same lie. Where racism now hides its face in public, abortion is accomplishing the goals of which racism only once dreamed. Abortion is destroying humanity at large and black people in particular.

~Alveda King

Birth Control is not contraception indiscriminately and thoughtlessly practiced. It means the release and cultivation of the better racial elements in our society, and the gradual suppression, elimination and eventual extirpation of defective stocks — those human weeds which threaten the blooming of the finest flowers of American civilization. These are the words of Margaret Sanger, founder of Planned Parenthood. Sanger was a eugenicist in the mold of Adolf Hitler. The libs deny much of what she said and taught. She believed that Slavs, Latins, Jews, and blacks were the weeds corrupting the garden. In spite of this, she is an icon among the libs and feminazi’s. These are historical facts that the left ignores. You cannot reason with a lib; they have no cognitive skills when it comes to logic. Psalm 94 makes it clear that legal is not always moral. Evil laws always result in the death of the righteous. Who are the most innocent members of society? Who among us is without sin? The unborn. The old left-wing argument that these individuals are a glob of tissue will not fly in light of modern science. These precious babies are very complex and wonderfully made; and they do have feelings. The problem is, they have no voice and they cannot bear arms. They have no way of defending themselves. They are helpless without our protection and intervention. They are being slaughtered by the millions. Roe v. Wade is a horrible law resulting in the death of millions of innocent children. Making something legal, doesn’t make it right.

I started my devotional reading in Psalm 94 but I also read from Ezra and Nehemiah. I saw a correlation. In Nehemiah’s prayer {Chapter 9} he speaks of Israel’s history of being stubborn and rebellious. The Israelites would not listen to God. In Nehemiah’s own words, “They stubbornly resisted, stiffened their necks and would not repent…they refused to serve God or turn from their wicked ways.” {Neh.9:32,35} BUT there is also a REVIVAL recorded in Nehemiah 8 and I get excited just thinking about it. The returning exiles had suffered for their transgression and they were:

  1. Repentant–As Ezra preached, they wept.
  2. Hungry for the Word–They listened to Ezra for 6 hours and they were standing. We complain about a 30 minute sermon when we are sitting in a padded pew or chair.
  3. So many tears of repentance were shed that the Levites had to move among the people and comfort them.
  4. They began confessing sins and confessed for four hours.

Let me ask you some soul-searching questions:

  1. Do you see or sense, in your life or others, a burden to pray?
  2. Do you see or sense, in your life or others, a hunger for the word?
  3. Do you see or sense, in your life or others, a spirit of repentance?
  4. When did you last hear a genuine confession?

Hillary, Obama and the left are trying to incite a revolution but they don’t know what they are doing; what we really need is REVIVAL. We don’t need bullets and bloodshed; the blood that counts has already been shed, we need a heart for Christ, a brokeness in spirit and a heart for repentance. The left has no answer: we do and His name is Jesus.
