Rock Bottom

Scripture

“Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a merchant on the lookout for choice pearls.
When he discovered a pearl of great value, he sold everything he owned and bought it!
~Matthew 13:45-46, NLT

Quote

Sometimes it is good to hit rock bottom because it is here that we realize Jesus is the Rock at the bottom.

A Jack 4Sometimes we have to hit rock bottom to give up on our dreams and ambitions. We have to reach the end of ourself. We try this, and we try that in our pursuit of happiness and eventually we discover knowing satisifies. When I say nothing, I mean nothing. Then, by His grace, we realize that we are standing on His infinite love and mercy. We realize that Jesus is our greatest asset and our source of strength. He is our victory. He becomes that priceless PEARL that is more valuable to us than all the other things around us. One thing that amazes me is the persistence of the flesh: it is relentless. The flesh is always present to tempt, seduce, confuse and pull us down. Flesh cannot overcome flesh: our only victory is in Jesus.

  • The only thing about holidays is they go by so quickly. I did enjoy my holiday and the time I got to spend with my family. Guess who won the bean bag tournament? Lexi and Granddad. Old Sister thought she had it rigged: some how she and Jeremy wound up on the same team but Lexi got hot and we won it all.
  • The holiday has passed and it’s back to work and business; speaking of which: we have a business meeting this Sunday. Along with our regular business, the PSC will give a report, and a time table.
  • The MORGAN BAPTIST ASSOCIATION will be voting on Ken Blackwood as our new Director of Mission this Tuesday night, September 13. We need to elect two delegates to this meeting. We will do this Sunday.
  • June couldn’t get over the amazing crowd Sunday. We expected 160 but had 260. I can count over 50 regulars who were not here so I was pleasantly pleased. One of these days, we are all going to get together.

BLUE LIVES MATTER

Blue Lives Matter to sensible and grateful Americans but not to the National Football League which has been sliding ever more leftward over the last few years. And now it seems the organization has decided 2016 is the perfect time to dive headfirst into the insanity, embracing the racially divisive leftist narrative being pushed about police officers.

The Dallas Cowboys had planned to honor slain police officers with a special decal on their helmets this season, but the NFL said no way.

According to Truth Revolt, The NFL has refused to allow the Dallas Cowboys to display an “Arm in Arm” decal on their helmets during the preseason games. The decal is meant to show support for law enforcement and honor slain police officers.

The football league already refused to allow the team to display the decal in regular season, but on Wednesday officials banned the decal for the preseason games as well. The Cowboys unveiled the decal during a ceremony with Dallas city and police officials on the first day of training camp as a sign of unity and solidarity following the tragic shootings of five police officers last month.

The NFL regularly displays support for various causes. Every October, for example, the NFL teams and cheerleaders wear pink to raise awareness of breast cancer. So why not show support for law enforcement?

“Everyone has to be uniform with the league and the other 31 teams,” Dallas Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones said after practice Wednesday. “We respect their decision.”The police responded to the NFL’s decision with a statement that read:

We appreciate the support of the Cowboys organization and its players. Their concern for the families of our fallen officers, the Dallas Police Department, and the City of Dallas is what matters most, and we know that support will continue for the immediate and long term future.

How sad is it that even sports are not a “safe space” from the ridiculousness of the progressive agenda? It seems for the average American, there’s simply no reprieve from the indoctrination happening everywhere, as liberals continue their full frontal assault on the values that make this nation great.

Police officers put their lives on the line each and every day to protect our communities, and when bad people attack them for doing their job, it’s only right to stand by their side.

Sadly, it seems the NFL is afraid to stand up alongside our police officers — one can only assume out of fear of potential backlash from the likes of Black Lives Matter — not unlike Democrat presidential nominee Hillary Clinton declining to even seek the endorsement of police officers, while she continues to pursue one from Black Lives Matter.

It’s a sad day indeed when a terrorist organization in essence silences a positive show of support for the men and women who put their lives on the line to keep us ALL safe.

This is a paste job: the author is Allen West.

The NFL is a corporate Antichrist: they oppose everything that true Christians stand for: They are proud supporters of abortion, gay rights, and now Black Lives Matter. This means they are anti-marriage, anti-family, anti-establishment [Police, law and order] and anti-Christ. People laughed when I accused them of making it impossible for Tebow because of his boldness for Christ. Laugh all you want, the truth will come to light someday and then you will not be laughing. Peyton Manning was 13-23 for a pathetic 104 yards in last years super bowl. His 3rd down conversions was abismal, 1-14. Tim Tebow threw for 316 yards in his playoff game against the Steelers. Ironically, he completed 10 passes for an average of 31.6 per completion which is the highest in NFL history for a playoff game. Are you going to tell me that Manning played better against the Panthers than Tebow against the Steelers? Let me tell you why Tebow didn’t make and all of you NFL worshippers need to wake up to the truth: this is why Tebow didn’t make it, the first words out of his mouth after the game [TV interview] were: “First and foremost, I want to thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” That my friends is why Tebow didn’t make it. Read Psalm 2, it is as clear as day. The NFL gurues despised what Tebow was doing. Had Tebow had the same defense that the Broncos had last year, he would won a super bowl and that was scary to the NFL. It was something that they were not going to allow. The NFL will get no support from me. If I had the power, I would gladly take them down today. Who needs the NFL?

Frankl was a Jew. He didn’t include Jesus is transformation but you understand, we need His transforming power.
