The strong need humility and the weak need strength.

Samson’s entire life was a spiral downward: he kept going down and it led to captivity, blindness, humiliation and death. He was so blessed and yet he wasted his good fortune. He was gifted with godly parents and incredible strength, yet he abused both. His life is a series of mistakes.

  1. His disrespected his parents
  2. He failed to keep his vow
  3. He distanced himself from his family and friends {he doesn’t even have a best man at his wedding}
  4. He divulged his weakness to the enemy {confessed to the devil}
  5. He tried to go it alone as if he needed no one
  6. He followed his passions {lust was his god}
  7. He used prayer as a last resort

I thought it was more but DBC reported 1782 that heard the gospel and went through the Trunk-A-Treat Trail, I’m relatively sure that had 200 workers. I was amazed. I think they ran out of candy and that includes buying Dollar General out. I left around 7:00 with a back and knee ache. I drove away in absolute astonishment. I think they posted pictures on the DBC Facebook page.

The rain has made it to Memphis but it is fizzling out. There is still some heavy rain in this system but it is losing strength as it moves east. We have the clouds already, but it will be afternoon before the system gets here. Pray that it doesn’t fizzle out. We need a rain. I need a rain. My spirit is suffering.
