The CHOSEN

Scripture

A woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years, but no one could heal her. She came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak, and immediately her bleeding stopped.

~Luke 8:43-44, NIV

There are three stages in the work of Christ: Impossible, difficult and done.

June and I have been watching the CHOSEN this week. We had been waiting for year three to come up on Vid-angel but Thomas told us about a phone apt and Holly set us up. We have watched two episodes per night. Tuesday night we got to see the healing of the woman with an issue of blood and the resurrection of Jairus’ daughter. I almost shouted when Jesus said, “Little girl, get up.” The healing of the woman with an issue of blood was really close to how I have imagined it. I do believe she crawled to get to Jesus and that is the way it was portrayed on the Chosen. Jesus does demand that she profess her faith publicly which she does. Last night we finished with season three with the miracle of feeding the 4,000 in Gentile territory, and then Jesus walking on the water.

I highly recommend that you watch the CHOSEN. The creators have used some imagination but what is wrong with that; when it gets down to Jesus final words, they are always in line with the scripture. Jarius’ faith in Jesus and then his gratitude and admiration for Jesus is classic. The same thing is true with the woman with an issue of blood. This is the proper response to the mercy and grace that Christ bestows on us. How could we not love HIM who has done so much for us.

Down load the ANGEL apt to your phone and watch season three of the Chosen. Whatever you do, do not skip episode 6. It is my favorite.

If you want to go to Israel with Joe David in October of 2024, you better get your name in the hat; it is about to fill up. It is supposed to warm up a bit today. I hope it does: I have some outside work to do.

Have a good day and thanks for reading the blog.
