The CEV translates ‘Awesome’ as fearsome. The Hebrew verb mō·rä’ [mow-rah] can mean anything from awe to absolute terror. God is an awesome God. His presence and person can strike terror that will make the bravest of men tremble in fear. He is so awesome His presence can silence the most vocal; even tyrants will stand speechless before Him. Our God is so awesome no one will question His judgment. The earths billionaires and power brokers will fall trembling to their knees. Those who have hated Him will praise Him and His servants will bring Him gifts. Our God is so awesome no one will even attempt to oppose Him. His very presence will squelch rebellion.
- Yesterday was to be a study day and I got off to a good start but when I started to get out of my chair, I realized there was a problem. That was around 11:00 am and from that point on, I spent most of my time in bed. I plan to be at church at 8:15 but who knows. I am having trouble standing and walking.
