A Blessed Nation

Scripture

Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, The people whom He has chosen for His own inheritance.

~Psalm 33:12, NASB

Quote

“I predict future happiness for Americans, if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.”

~Thomas Jefferson

First of all, I want to make it clear that this blog is not associated with any church. We have our own domain and we pay all the expenses. It is true that I was under the DBC domain for a number of years but we’ve been independent for the past three. I did this for several reasons: to protect the church for one and to give me the freedom to say what I want. I am not a political scientist; to be honest, I am sick of politics and politicians. Donald J. Trump is a refreshing change from the norm: he is no politician and he is hated for being so. I have never seen such bitter hatred directed toward one single individual. There is no doubt in my mind that Trump would flush the toilet if he could get his hand on the handle. People like Richard Shelby, who masquerades as a republican but is an old pork barrel democrat, are fighting daily to make sure Trump doesn’t get his hand on the handle. Shelby is the reason Sessions is running. He is the one who talked him into it and the reasons are obvious: Shelby can control Sessions because he knows that Sessions has given preference to special interest. Whether it was intention or not, Sessions has already betrayed Trump once so why should we give him another opportunity to do it twice and he will because he is controlled by people like Shelby.

Tommy Tuberville is not a politician. He is not promising anything other than a change. He has pledged to support the president and to do what he can to help him find the handle–this is what scares Shelby, an entrenched career politician who caters to special interest. Shelby is over 80 and if he had any convictions at all about the welfare of the country, he would step down but he will be there until he crokes because he is enamored by the power. I can’t tell you what to do: I have no right to try but I can ask you to prayerful consider supporting coach Tuberville. I talked to my eye doctor yesterday: he said, “I like Tuberville and I think he will make the run off but he can’t win in Alabama because there are too many Alabama fans.” I said, “Doc, I am one of those Alabama fans.” Then I got a phone call from a small businessman this morning: his words,“They sure are slinging a lot of mud at Tuberville, is what they are saying true?” Shelby is simply using democratic tactics: he is trying to defeat an opponent with innuendo and out right slander. You see more ads from Shelby/Sessions because they have the money to run them. How about giving a working man a shot and sending a message to Washington and Shelby, WE ARE SICK OF CAREER POLITICIANS. Do you want change or do you want to stick to the status-quo? I vote for change.

Where are Shelby and Session this week: where is Tommy? Tommy is among the people: Shelby and Sessions are not. We need a man of the people!
