Hating Good–Loving Evil

Scripture

Listen rulers of Israel, surely you know what is right and yet you hate good and love evil.

~Micah 3:1, REB

The God I find in Christ is a God who overcomes evil with God.

A reprobate is a person who no longer distinguished right from wrong. John Calvin believed the reprobates were predestined to hell. Reprobation, in Christian theology [Romans 1:20-28, Proverbs 1:23-33, John 12:37-41, Hebrews 6:4-8] is the doctrine which teaches that a person can reject the gospel to a point where God in turn rejects them and curses their conscience to do unnatural and abominable things. The Latin word reprobatus means reproved or condemned, approbatus is commended or approved. The leaders of Israel should have know right from wrong: they had the law of Moses to instruct them but they hated good [which would include the law] and they loved evil. Their affinity for evil was revealed in how they treated others, especially the helpless. Micah said of them, “You skin my people alive and tear the flesh from their bones. Yes, you eat my people’s flesh, strip off their skin, and break their bones.
You chop them up like meat for the cooking pot.”

Our present society is too refined to do such a thing, right? Think again: what Micah describes is very similar to partial birth abortion, an atrocity that the democrats endorse. Again is verse 3:9 [REB] Micah says, “Listen to this, leaders of Jacob, who abhor what is right and pervert what is straight.” The most hated segment of our society [at least by the media and the left] is the straight white male. Is it right to hate a man for being straight? Is it right to hate a man for being white? It seems to me that this would be racism but according to left, hating white men is not racist. If we were Hispanic, Jewish or black, we hollow ‘racism’ but somehow it is not racist to hate the straight white male. I think a great part, hopefully not the greater, of our culture has lost their ability to tell right from wrong, don’t you agree? This would include local dupes who still support the party of abortion.

Some things just have to be done: our kitchen floor was falling in and I didn’t want to fix it but it had to be done. I had rather read than do carpenter work. The good news is: I’m almost through. Now we get to host THANKSGIVING and a COTTAGE PRAYER MEETING. I even hooked the ice maker up. June has been buying ice for 7-8 years because I told her not to move the frig and she did, causing the copper line to crimp and leak. I think she has suffered enough. That first batch looks pretty murky, I know Mandy wouldn’t use it. I think maybe a little rat hair got in the line. A little ice tea will make it taste good.

They are predicting 97 today. I think it got up to 96 yesterday. According to my weather alp it will be September 22 before we see the 80’s. My new word for the day is aegis. It means protection or backing in terms of support. Some synonymous are: patronage, sponsorship, backing, protection, or shelter.
