I was reading in Acts three yesterday where Peter boldly tells the Jews who are gathered at the Temple, “You handed Jesus over to be crucified, you disowned the Holy Righteous One and you killed the Author of life…I know you acted in ignorance but this was all a part of God’s plan and now you can be forgiven if you will repent.” Jesus was the prophet predicted by Moses, the One whom God would speak through. All the prophets spoke of the coming One.
Reading this passage reminded me of Paul’s words in Galatians 3:16, Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. He does not say, “And to seeds,” as referring to many, but rather to One, “And to your seed,” that is, Christ. Seed singular is in reference to Jesus–seeds plural would be the Jewish nation. This is a crushing blow to Zionist.
We can go back to Genesis 3:15 and see the first prophecy of the Messiah… “And I will put enmity between you [Satan] and the woman [Eve], And between your seed and her seed; He [Seed/Jesus] shall bruise you on the head, and you shall bruise him on the heel.” The promise Peter refers to is found in Genesis 22:17-18, “I will greatly bless you, and I will greatly multiply your seed as the stars of the heavens and as the sand which is on the seashore; and your seed shall possess the gate of their enemies. In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed.
If you believe in the inspiration of scripture, this is proof that Jesus is the Messiah. Old Testament Messianic prophecies cannot be fulfilled a part from Jesus who is THE way, the only way.
- There are some questions about the Blog that I can’t answer. I will try to get those answers for you eventually. This week has been hectic blog wise. We have several kinks that we want to get worked out and some of those happened yesterday. We hope to get it straightened out in a few weeks. We are glad to get our blogs separated from the church.
- I think Joyce is about the same. She and George both were not feeling good yesterday. They need our prayers and our love.
- I heard some disturbing news today on Sirus Radio 125 The Patriot. Hilary is ahead in the polls. I heard a liberal station say that a couple of weeks ago but I wrote it off as propaganda. This country must be losing it’s mind. During one of my home visits, one church member quoted another as saying, “I don’t want to hear you bad mouthing Obama, he is one of the best presidents we’ve had. We have more today than we’ve ever had.” That last line is the give-a-way, “We have more today than we’ve ever had.” This man is voting his pocket book. His big concern is getting that monthly check and since democrats started entitlements, he is sure that they are the source of our wealth that enables us to give away millions. I am sick and tired of hearing “Professing Christians” say stupid things like we have more than we ever had before. I agree, we have more, a lot more–infidelity, pornography, drugs, murders, suicides, sexual immorality including same sex marriage, thanks to our beloved president. The church is mocked, homosexuality is glorified and abortion has been institutionalized. But dupes and dummies don’t associate abortion [the killing of babies] with the democrats. I’ve heard them with my own ears, “I vote democrat but I’m not for abortion.” I’m telling you folks, God will hold all of these so called “Christians” accountable for supporting and enabling the democratic party to kill 50 million babies. Hilary is just another law-breaking, baby-killing, democratic socialist who will lead us down the path of destruction. Hilary and Bill are white collar thugs who can get away with murder because they are “Democrats.” The FBI exonerated Hilary saying, “We could not prove intent.” Hilary broke the law and got people killed but we don’t know what her intentions were. Give me a break. There is no way the media would let a Republican get off the hook so easily. The USA TODAY front page yesterday was an attack on Trump, didn’t mention Hilary.
