Pull Up

Scripture

Stubborn people who repeatedly refuse to accept correction will suddenly be broken and never recover.

~Proverbs 29:1, Passion

Quote

I more fear what is within me than what is without.

~Martin Luther

Martin Luther had a morbid fear of rebellion. Although he ignited one, rebellion was never his intention. Ben Franklin said, “Rebellion against tyranny is obedience to God.” Our forefathers rebelled against King George and were blessed, but we have to be careful. We must make sure that we do not rebel against God. Rebellion against god has a bitter end. What we are seeing in today’s world is a massive rebellion against God. Marxism and secular humanist even deny His existence. They scoff at biblical justice. They hate God’s instructions and they have no love for His people. The gender thing is a part of this mass rebellion. They are shaking their fist in God’s face and saying, “You don’t have the right to tell me who I am. I will be whatever {gender} I determine to be and medical science will enable this to happen.” Homosexuality is rebellion against God’s created and natural order. Adultery is a sin of passion but sexual perversion is an act of rebellion. I don’t mean that adultery is okay; it is very wrong and destructive but it is natural. Homosexuality is not natural; it is abnormal. David committed adultery but was later forgiven. Homosexuality is a life choice and there can be no forgiveness without repentance and turning from this life style because it is an act of rebellion. God created Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve. For this cause, a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife and they two become one flesh. This is God’s order. You cannot change it. You may disagree with it; or it may make you angry but you cannot change it. Can you cause men to give birth, rooster’s to lay eggs, or two plus two to equal five? NO! You cannot and you cannot make a male a female. You can make them a freak.

There is a great danger in rebellion. My high school aero-space teacher had been a pilot in the navy. He flew the solo spot in the Blue Angels at one time. He knew about flying and the dangers. You can take a plane or a jet to high altitudes and then go into a dive. Obviously, this generates more speed because you have the law of gravity working with your jet engines. But dives can be dangerous, especially when the pilot gets locked on to some object such as a target that is on the ground. The pilot can get mesmerized by his focus on the ground and lose track of time, other pilots can be screaming for him to pull up but he goes straight into the earth destroying himself in an instant. I think rebellion works in the same way. People set their will against God and they determine to live the way they choose. They get so locked into their goals and dreams that they become mesmerized. Others who care about them are begging them to pull up but they don’t hear us. They are in a self-destructive dive and it will end with a crash.

Now you know why rebellion against God frightened Luther, it is dangerous business. I pray daily, “LORD, I want no part of rebellion against you…or “LORD, keep me from rebellion. Keep it out of my heart.” I literally fear rebellion.

Extra

I guess we could find something to complain about but it could not be the weather. Wow, what a week of sunshine and mild temps. You can beat it with a stick. I do think we have some rain coming but we can handle that…my pray is no more sleet and sub-twenty degree weather. Talked to Big Mike yesterday and he says doctor says it may get some of his vision back. PTL and pass the pinto beans and fried taters.

Have a great Friday and thanks for reading the blog.
