Every Knee Will Bow

One of the good things about reading the bible through is that you see recurring themes: things that come up over and over. One of those has to do with the entire world coming to Jesus. Every nation, every tribe including their political leaders will come to Jesus in humble submission. Every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is LORD, that He is God. At present, the world system does not believe that Jesus is God but they will openly confess His deity on this prophetic day in the future.

I have a very strong conviction that this day, in which every knee bows, will come to pass without a war or any resistance whatsoever from the unregenerate world. It is God, the life force, who gives us strength and energy. He allows rebellion at this moment but on this day, He will withhold strength and energy from those who would rebel if they could. There is also the fear factor. I remember Bob getting me into a mess several years ago. I was helping him officiate basketball for youth leagues and then one night, he sends me to the Hartselle civic center to call a men’s industrial league game. I was in way over my head and I basically froze up. I didn’t call one foul for the first half. The poor man I was helping told me at half time: “Look, you have got to call something or we will both get killed.” I was so frightened that I could barely stand, let alone blow a whistle. Pure fear has sapped my strength.

When Jesus appears, our knees will turn to jelly. They will not support the weight of our bodies and we will go down not by any choice on our part but by the fact that we will be too weak to stand. I think about this song often… Surrounded by your glory, what will my heart feel, will I dance for you Jesus or in awe of You be still? Will I stand in your presence or to my knees will I fall, will I sing hallelujah or will I be able to speak at all? I can only imagine. I will answer one of the questions: we will not be able to stand in His presence: to our knees we will fall. It will not just be hayseeds and wretched peasants like me who will bow the knee, it will be kings and the rich and powerful. No one will stand in His presence.

Big L will be playing at Toyota field today at 3:00 if wether permits. It is not a play off or anything of that nature: they were invited to promote the field. They will be playing a private school out of Cullman I think. It will cost $10 to get in and if I understand correctly, there will be carnival going on outside. I think the kids may get into the game free but they pay to get into the carnival and it is just the opposite for adults. We pay to get into the game but the carnival is free to adults. It’s a gemmick.
