Quote

In heaven there will be no scars other than the nail prints in Jesus hands.

I’m sure you are familiar with the law of thermodynamics; basically speaking, every thing is in a state of entropy or decay. The sun has less energy for example and so do I. We are wearing down and our bodies are in a state of decay. Paul stated this clearly in Romans 8:19-21,  For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed. For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God. When Adam sinned he brought a curse not only on mankind but upon everything in creation. We no longer live in the garden of Eden; we live in a world that is scarred and marred by the ravages of sin. All of creation is awaiting the return of Christ and the healing that He will bring with Him.

But of all God’s creatures, I suppose that man has suffered the most scarring. Every disease, every affliction is a result of original sin. There will be no wheel chairs in heaven: no mars and no scars. We will not even age in heaven. It is the land where we never grow old. My brother-in-law told me on TG that he wishes he could go back and be 28 years old. I said, “Not me brother, I am excited about my future but I have no desire to go back–none.” I will never be happy in a world where spinal befida puts a child in a wheel chair for life and cancer intimidates everyone including the medical profession. I do not want to live in a world where kids are scarred from the heartbreak of divorce. We have God’s promise that He is going to make everything new. We will not need mirrors in heaven nor will the ladies need make-up or hair spray. I’m sorry, did I crush a dream–no salons in heaven. Listen, don’t you fret about what will not be in heaven: what ever it requires to make you totally fulfilled and happy will be there. Your father will see to it.

As an earthly father with very limited resources, I try my best to please my children. I drove all the way to the Interstate on TG day to get my daughters news papers for their black Friday shopping spree. How much more will the Heavenly Father seek to please His children.

A group of Scottish highlanders gathered in a pub to share fish and war stories. When the bar maid brought a round of drinks, one of the excited story tellers moved suddenly and knocked the tray of drinks into the wall of the pub. It left a huge brown stain on the newly painted wall. It just so happened that one Brit was in that pub and he got up, took his bag of tools and went to work on the wall. His name was Sir Edwin Landseer, the famous British wild life artist. To the utter amazement of everyone in the pub, he took his charcoal and transformed the ugly stain in to a majestic stag with antlers out stretched as it runs across a highland meadow. There will not be any stains in heaven and when the glory of Christ is revealed in you: you will not believe your eyes.

This months IMPRIMIS was written by Jay Bhattacharya who is a professor of medicine at Stanford University and his subject was Covid-19. I will share some highlights but you can read the IMPRIMIS online for yourself: [1] 130 million will starve to death in 2021 because of the shutdowns [2] The majority of people infected by Covid will have mild or no symptoms. [3] Once you have had Covid, you are immune. [4] Our HEALTH SYSTEM has managed Covid poorly. [5] The covid mortality rate is 0.2% {2 of every 1,000} [6] Covid is not equally dangerous to everyone; those 70 and above are at higher risk {fatality rate for this age group is 3 of every 100 or 3 %. [7] The greatest fact about Covid is that it has little affect on children. Most children who are infected with Covid never have any symptoms.[8] The flu, diphtheria, whooping cough and polio are much greater threats to children than Covid. [9] The shutdowns and lock-downs are causing serious problems. Humans are gregarious, they are not meant to be isolated. Current lock-down policies are causing more deaths than covid. [10] The vaccine will help but herd immunity is the answer. Again this is where the government has fowled up big time. In delaying the inevitable they have made everything worse. Imagine that, the federal government making things worse.
