Hank Voight

June got me hooked on Chicago P.D. a couple of years ago. She fusses at me because I don’t like TV and she challenged me to watch an episode or two with her…her exact words were, “You will like Hank Voight and the way he operates.” Hank Voight is the Sargent at the 21st precinct and he heads up an intelligence unit. Hank gives very clear orders and he expects his detectives to carry them out. From time to time, one of them will question him on a specific order and he blows his stack. He generally says, “I don’t have to explain myself to anybody, I am your boss, you do what I tell you to.” Our relationship to Christ is similar, we don’t always know what He is doing but our first priority is to obey Him whether we understand His intended purpose or not. The bible is filled with incredible promises. I reading through Isaiah and Zechariah and I sit amazed at the prophecies concerning Israel. Everyone knows I am not an expert on prophecy but I love reading the O.T. prophets. I firmly believe, with all my heart, Jesus is the ultimate fulfillment of all prophecy. The last verse of Romans 11 reads, For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To him be the glory forever. Amen. The HIM is Jesus. The writer of Hebrews said, In these last days, God has spoken to us by his Son. God has appointed him heir of all things and made the universe through Him. Dr. Adrian Rogers once said, “People ask me where this world is headed and I tell them, back to Jesus from whence it came.”

I hate to offend the Zionist and the premillennialist but nothing will be done a part from Jesus. God is not going to save the world through Israel unless you understand that Jesus came from Israel. Israel is not the KEY OF DAVID [Isa.22:22, Rev. 3:7], Jesus is and Israel will eventually turn to Jesus. Israel is not the Savior, they need a Savior just like you and I. God is going to pour out His Spirit of grace and Israel will turn to Christ is mass and they will help us get the gospel to the world which is what it is all about. Does this mean that I disrespect Israel, not in the least. God has said, “I will destroy any nation that comes against Israel,” and I believe Him. {Zech.12:9} I understand that most Jews are Christ haters and they still have animosity for the Gentiles [Goy]. As a matter of fact, the great majority are agnostic or atheist. How in the world is this prophecy going to be fulfilled? By the power of God. He can work via the process but He can also work in such powerful ways that things change over night. Ask the Egyptians: Pharaoh changed his mind over night. God can do a lot in a short period of time. He can change your entire life in a heart beat.

  • A tragedy of epic proportion has hit the members of Grace Point Baptist Church. Our Minister of Music, Dale Windsor, got word yesterday morning that they had found his son-in-law dead. His daughter Jenae and there three children were visiting with Dale and Paula this week. They were en route to Pensacola, Florida when I did the blog yesterday evening. Pray for Dale and his entire family.
  • The bad thing about having a daughter in Real Estate is flipping houses. Aunt T is moving to a new locations and she has agreed that everything will stay as is–no remodeling, no projects and Seth is my witness, he heard her say it. Which brings me to my point. I am to tired to do much extra tonight. God bless you have a great day.
