Scripture
They offer superficial treatment for my people’s mortal wound. They give assurances of peace
when there is no peace.
~Jeremiah 6:14, 8:11, NLT
Quote
Peace is a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. It is a cessation of hostilities toward our infinite Creator.

Billy Graham was a man of God who traveled the world. I love reading about his experiences. Once he was in Glasgow, Scotland and while there he saw a Marxist demonstration. He watched these young communist march around St. George Square carrying their banners that read, “Out Motto is PEACE.” Dr. Graham was familiar with what goes on in Communist countries and he knew that their banner was deceiving. Marxist do not want peace, they want control. They have an insatiable lust for power. Currenting I am listening to Solzhenitsyn’s Gulag Archipelago. A gulag is a prison and archipelago is a string of island that are so tiny that they go unnoticed. The Gulag Archipelago is the documentation of what went on in the string of Soviet prison camps that stretched across the northern part of Russian. These camps and the atrocities committed in them went unnoticed from 1918 until Stalin’s death in 1953. If you think the Nazis were bad, you need to read Solzhenitsyn. Stalin makes Hitler look like a Boy Scout.
The west was appalled when we learned of the brutality and the number of deaths caused by the communist. Seventy years ago, few Americans would admit to having Marxist leanings but that has changed. One thing has not changed: they still lie. Marxism is the most pragmatic ideology in the world: they believe that whatever works toward accompling their goals is good. The end justifies the means. This means propaganda, torture, and mass murder is OK if it is for the good of the Communist State. So don’t be decieved by their constant chatter about peace. Their definition of peace is our submission. When I see people with Obama stickers, I want pull them over and inform them that he is an avid disciple of Saul David Alinsky who was a devote communist. Yes, he was Jewish.
Solzhenitsyn testifies that during the reign of Stalin, a train left Moscow everyday with at least 200 prisoners headed for the prison camps. No one knew when they would be arrested and there was never a trail or investigation. Stalin was so paranoid that he had devoted communist party members arrested and most he had executed. Solzhenitsyn was a commuinist until he was put in a camp. His incarceration and the witness of a good Jewish Surgeon {Messianic Jew} name Boris Kornfield lead to his conversion to Christ.
Two things strike me: [1] Communism needs dupes. The revolution will never take place unless they can brainwash a respectable number of people. [2] The silence of the media and education about the evil record that Communism has produced. Have you noticed: Stalin is rarely mentioned these days; the constant chatter is about Hitler and white supremacy. In fact, Stalin and is responsible for many more deaths than Hitler. No one knows how many. Some have guessed ten million but I would think twenty million at least. At least another twenty million were killed in combat while serving in the Red Army. I think the number could be fifty million. Here in America, that would be one out of every six. Gulag Archipelago should be required reading for college students. Everyone needs to see the true face of Marxism.

My good friend Ken Nelson was promoted yesterday evening after a fierce battle with cancer. I know Ken regretted having the surgery but the cancer was in his liver and colon. I celebrate the fact that his suffering is over. Ken was always full of life. If I’ve ever seen a happy person, it was Ken. He was a breath of fresh air. Always bubbling with enthusiasm and hope. He lead music for us at DBC for eight years. Ralph Glen remended Ken. I talked with Ken on the phone and he agreed to help us until we found some one, but we loved Ken so much that we stopped looking. His favorite congregational hymn was VICTORY IN JESUS and we sang it every two to three weeks for eight years. His favorite solo was HE TOUCHED ME. Ken’s fame was in his enthusiasm. He didn’t know music but he lead with joy and volume. He seldom got all the words right but no one was offended. He was on fire for Jesus and folks came to watch him burn. When we moved in March of 1991, we marched down highway 36 at 5:00 o’clock on Sunday morning. We had a Morgan County Deputy lead the way with blue lights and then it was Ken leading us in VICTORY IN JESUS. We had 214 in Sunday School that day and I can’t remember the worship figure but it was around 300. When I think of Ken, all these good times come to the surface. Ken also did the heat and cooling on our house on Craze Road. When I found out he had cancer, I would meet him at Central for their Wednesday morning service. We would sit together and both sing by letter, open up and letter fly. We got a few stairs from the high brows but it never bothered us. I will miss Ken but only for a very short time.
We are getting our third rain since dawn. It is pouring down. I need to be catching some of this rain water but it is raining so hard that I can get to my shed to turn the pump on.
GRACE POINT FAMILY: we will be back on the Trinity next Wednesday, then we will move on.
Have a great day and thanks for reading the blog.
