Abiding peace and endless joy; this is something I can sink my spiritual teeth into. Who does not want joy? What person makes misery their life goal? Chuck Swindoll said, “When I look back over my life, and count my blessings, I realize that I could have never conceived such a plan for my life. The LORD did things that were illogical, strange and even mysterious, things I could not understand at the time but now I see clearly how He used them to shape my life and to bless me. Things happened to me that seemed totally contradictory and made no sense at the time but now I see how God was weaving them into the tapestry of my life. It was a wonderful day when I came to realize, I don’t have explain what God is doing, just trust Him.” When I read this from Swindoll devotional WISDOM FOR THE WAY, it lifted my spirit. I can say with complete honesty, God has done the same with me.
Trust and obey for there is no other way to be happy in Jesus. I know what it is like to have other people working under you and I also know what it is like to be a subordinate. There is much less stress as the subordinate because all you have to do is please your boss. If a customer gets irate and chews you out, you don’t have to worry about it. You job is not to please them but to please your superior. As long as you please your boss, you are okay. When you do what he says do, he takes the heat because you were simply carrying out his instructions. The world is not on our shoulders. Everything doesn’t depend on us. Our chief concern and responsibility is to obey the Master. It is never wrong to follow Christ. Trust and obey, you will never regret obeying Jesus.

The fish were not biting but we had a good time of fellowship and I got no phone calls. My phone doesn’t work on the lake PTL. A little lake again this morning. I was dissatisfied with the flash fiber, too slow for me and so we switched by to Spectrum. Holly set the inside up but I had to get the office hooked up this a.m. and I am slow. Hopefully we got it working!
